What beer are you drinking now? #2955

Based off this morning’s thread, I wish I had stock in Founders.

 

Please elaborate? What is the ABV at? Other Half has disappointed me with quite a few beers (especially collabs) although this one might be a winner? Or at least fun to drink one. Do you know is Bloomfield has cans?

 

You may be upset if I told you I was sitting in their taphouse last week with my beautiful wife sucking down a Makinaw Fudge right from the source. Brought home some of Michigan’s best!

 

Last month I grabbed this next bottle from Mom’s Cellar in WVa that I stashed in 2018, where for years I’ve been cellaring a few cases (out of sight out of mind) to age/most still there aging - Westbrook’s “Mexican Coffee Cake” (2018):



Let’s see how the coffee has held up...bottled 5/25/18. Purchased at the brewery. True below ground cellar (dark and boxed, 60° +/- year round) maintained since...spicy green chilies and cinnamon nose, no coffee ; tastes follows with semi sweet chocolate, roast malt, bittersweet dark chocolate, cinnamon, chilies peppers, oak and vanilla, no coffee . Totally Mexican Cake and delicious...sadly, the coffee has vanished (I drank this beer fresh in 2018 and it was like drinking a church social coffee cake, ok Mexican Cake, and with 11% alcohol )...bottom line, the Cake tastes great as always, but the coffee did not hold up - onward science!

 

6% abv lemon-lime berliner. I’m not sure how they got the color into this. It’s slimer green. Impressive.

 

OGZombies. If we even get those here they are limited, have fun aging them! This guy is pure BA through and through.

The color is a off-put in a way but it also reminds me of adult Ecto-Cooler so I would absolutely try at least one

 

He doesn't even want to know how many hundreds of dollars I have thrown them in the past few months. Who expected a variant *this much* better? I like Espresso but Fudge is World Class

I won't even lie, Founders knocked it out of the park with this one. Most of their BA stuff is good but this fudge KBS is exceptional. It is like a pastry stout with all the pastry garbage.

 

Anyone ever have the problem of posting pictures of beers within a few minutes of each other and thinking "I should use some lag time so I look like less of an aldolic spending 5 minutes between beers"

Obviously I've never though that but here we are. Intellectual curiosity... if you are going to smash a 4-pack of BA stout in a couple hours do you post honest timestamps? I do, and I have been attacked as an "alcoholic" who only wants to drink to get drunk so I should grab some vodka and leave the craft scene. I'm sure that person is reading this...

@Greywulfken I got some more Lukowsowa and am considering my first bottle of that Crystal Skull

I really prefer the potato stuff.

This posts reminds me of all the reasons I left Ohio. All that snow. Great choice in beer though! Sunday Mole is good to if you can ever find it.

Why am I drinking this after 4 BA stouts apparently I hate myself. This is a legit sour, the type you sip on over an hour. I woke up with Key Lime in my mouth. One of my very view #properglassware
