[IMG] Way out of my comfort zone and drinking this bottle a friend gave me. One of those beers that makes me wonder who could possibly love this style, but different strokes for different folks. Still well made, but not my jam.

I'd call it good timing on their behalf with their beers

They stopped bottling it in 2018. Canned last year with same artwork as 2018.

The yard has been mowed, weed eaten and blowed, brunch prep underway. I'm wrapping up a second bloody mary as I begin to knock "fridge temp" off the CBS. It's still super tasty at 35 degrees.....nice, partly sunny 76 degrees in north central FL.....

I was 50% sure I was wrong and 80% sure someone would correct me :sunglasses:

We are definitely hanging out one day even though I don't love Jai Alai. Looks great!

Hell yes. I just pulled three different maple stouts from underneath my bar for today’s drinking, and not one of them is a CBS.

Wow, busy Sunday thread already! As per tradition, I'm getting ready for football by prepping some wings - and a beer, of course.

I bake my wings after giving them an oil-and-pepper bath, sprinkled with baking powder. The sauce comes later.

This has *got to* be the most petty think I have ever said to anyone on BA but I bet I make better wings than you. It is not like I can brag I have cooked thousands of them.

Since this is is GA I assume you are doing Lemon Pepper Wet?

I love @Roguer; he is a way classier version than me. I need to get on his level give me a few more years to practice. This guy is a real talker who will never bullshit you. Much respect

I don't claim to make the best wings (although I have also cooked thousands, no doubt; I used to cook at a sports bar :grinning: ), so it's entirely possible (probable?) that you do, indeed, make better wings! I make "good enough" wings.

(Incidentally: so much easier than breading your own chicken. That's a last resort, and a ton more work.)

I don't have any Georgia history, really, so I'm not influenced by any traditions here. There is indeed, however, a splash of lemon juice as well. I find oil, pepper, and a very judicious amount of lemon juice make for a very nice flavor base for the wings while baking - although the focus is absolutely going to be the Buffalo sauce! :grinning:

    Cheers!

Sticking with seasonal gimmick beers: DuClaw PastryArchy: Candy Cane Imperial Stout.

Frank's, butter, and whatever pepper sauce you need to bring the heat level to your preference (I use a simple and straight forward El Yucatan red habanero sauce - a pretty good amount, too  ).

    Cheers!
