How the h*ll am I supposed to know what to open with this god d*mn lovefest going on? Then again, this might be a good chance to test my Super Speedy Beer Greatness Tabcalcgorithm 9000 (patent pending)! Science will tell me once and for all which one is better.

I didn’t even refrigerate mine, and I have to tell you it’s UNBELIEVABLY good at room temp.

I thought it was best once it got to room temp. Just had a Cafe again, too, plus a Deth BY Cherries last night and all same same. Hell, pretty much think I'm just not going to refrigerate any DW at this point.

That's what I typically do in the winter months. My basement is usually around 55-60 F then, and that's pretty much perfect.

If it helps, I'm glad I only got a 4 pack of Honey Jacket. It's a good beer, but way too sweet for me. It's got good barrel to help balance it out, but it's really sweet. I prefer DBC.

Generally I agree - but I don't plan to drink all my Cafe and Cherries right away, and I want the flavors to last. (especially that coffee!)
So I will refrigerate most of those and remove from the fridge 1-2 hours prior on those days I plan to drink them.

    <<Hot take alert>>

Double Barrel VSOD Apple Brandy > Form Of The Destroyer

Both were fantastic, but there was more depth / complexity to the "DBVSODAB" than "FOTD"*, in my humble opinion.

I love these crazy ass crowlers, and I love that I can enjoy them in a more controlled, focused setting now than I could at those crowded release parties. Obviously COVID fucking sucks, but this development has been an unintended positive (no pun intended).

    *i hate acronyms

I agree with your impression of Honey Jacket. Deth by Cherries too for that matter. DbC came across as chocolate covered cherry candy which was dipped in bourbon. That one exceeded expectations.

I'm going to make my annual request of a hazelnut version called Deth's Nuts...We are in a pandemic, what's the worst that can happen at this point?

Good news! I would think those are both initialisms, so your hate for acronyms bears them no prejudice.

More importantly, your reviews have me really excited for the apple brandy.

Went with DBC and it is easily the best cherry stout I’ve ever had. It’s like Tyson-Spinks level domination or Tiger crushing the ‘97 Masters. Just operating at a completely different level.

Man, I love this DBC.....buuuutttt...'17 Dark Lord Ronaldo as a draft pour (also had a bottle share prior) in 2019 would blow the doors off this. And that's not taking anything away from Rev. This is phenomenal, but that beer was unicorn level after 2 years rest.

Apple brandy stouts have always been good. Not sure why more people don't do them and especially why GI never put their BCS one into distro. Must have something to do with the supply of barrels.
