My turn to enjoy enjoy this treat. Founders hit another KBS variant home run here. Pure deliciousness.

 

Rochefort has one too nowadays (in fact a recreation of one of their beers from the 1920's or '30s). Called Rochefort Triple Extra.

It is around Belgium and the Netherlands now and then. Worth a try when you see it. Taste is still work in progress I understood. I liked it. And a 'new' Rochefort probably always is good to try, regardles it is good or bad

Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter at Smitty’s Garage

 

New one for me - Urban Artifact Astrolabe, a Concord grape fruit tart. 8.2% ABV with no foam and a mild effervescence that produces a light mouthfeel. Nose, appearance and taste are all Concord grapes. The tartness balances the grape flavor well, but I suggest not trying if you don’t like Concord grapes. One of those beverages that lives in the space between beer and wine. Enjoying it more than expected. Cheers!

They are producing small batches I think. Not seen it in the supermarket here. Only at one independent beer and wine shop with a focus on Belgian beers.

This is the first Xocoveza I've had since last Winter. I'm picking up more presence of the pasilla peppers in this batch than I recall last year. It will remain one of my mainstays.

Moving on with Bootsy. Awesome IIPA from Stigbergets brewery (Sweden).
Maybe I'm overrating this beer somewhat because it is a perfect beer at the right moment

Starting off the day with Holzar Bier, from Der Hirschbrau. It's a 5.2% Munich Dunkel in a 500ml swing top bottle. I've always loved swing top bottles and my wife occasionally reuses them for homemade dressings, vinaigrettes, etc. This beer is part of a three bottle Bavarian beer gift pack which often makes its way into my market for the holidays. As for this beer, it's good, but not great. Still, the style is a nice change of pace and something I don't have often, so it's well worthwhile. Cheers.
