I don't want to troll, and I'm guessing/hoping this was tongue in cheek, but none of this makes any sense to me:

"Since New England (Massachusetts, specifically) invented America, Thanksgiving is actually our holiday. Obviously, the backstory is quite peaceful, inspiring, and 100% true. The whites came here and built communities and forged friendships with the indigenous peoples. We worked alongside them, treated them fairly, and, in return, they graciously showed us how to make turkey and homemade gravy. A fun time was had by all."

I don’t know how anyone would read that paragraph and not think it’s in jest.

Yes. Sarcasm doesn’t do well on the internet. Plus, he’s a dad, so dad jokes.

Yeah, you never know though, there are plenty of people who believe what they want to believe, and now they want to go back to "Patriotic" history.:weary:

Indian Brown Ale from Dogfish Head, to show appreciation for all that the Native Americans did for the Pilgrims.

Oh man am I excited to drink and eat all day! I think I'll start things off with a brunch DIPA instead of OJ. Probably something I grabbed from that Other Half drop. From there we'll slow it down with a bottle of Celebration, followed by some Notch Standard, Ungespundet and probably my last Copper Legend. Then I'm hoping I can continue my streak of snagging this year's BCBS early so I can enjoy a bottle of that with pie. For my final stunt, I'll puke and head to bed.

Just completed a wee beer run. Had it all mapped out in my head what I was getting. That changed once I saw JA Copper Legend 12 pks for $10!

so it’s Silvaticus Quintessential Pilsner with dinner, copper legend, Red Tape, Guinness and Celebration scattered throughout the day. Pretty safe choices for my whole 2 guests to enjoy!

Backwoods Bastard and Mayflower Thanksgiving (had a can on Sunday for the first time....awesome beer!) for evening sipping.

No way. When George Washington landed on Plymouth Rock on 4th of July 1492, he came waving the American flag, and planted Old Glory right at the tip of P-Town, where it’s been ever since. The native folks loved it.

(Okay everyone I am kidding. I bought some Celebration today on a quick grocery run for cole slaw so let’s add that to my menu).

Probably opening my Trillium Affogato at some point tomorrow and either BA Double Pot & Kettle post-meal, or in a clutch move this week Long Live released their Four Roses BA Friendsgiving collab with PVDonuts (cacao, hazelnuts and vanilla beans).

I have too many DIPAs in the fridge which will weigh me down for the meal, so my thinking for a mealtime beer is to pickup some Kolsch from Buttonwoods or get a few foeder beers from Proclamation while getting my Wright's Dairy Farm pie pickup there tomorrow.

I would rather do wine than beer with the meal (and I will), but I’m hoping the table beers are the exception to that.

Going pretty low-key with Pulp Truck, Coolship's (red, sorghum) and Swish somewhere in there. Finishing the evening with some local sours, sessions and randoms.

I’m offended that you left out the part where the locals taught us to plant dead fish in a little hill with corn, squash and beans and we taught them to trace their hands and fingers with crayons to make turkeys. But, anyway.

I’ve managed to hold onto a bottle of Dorothy to pour with dinner and there’ll be McAuslan St-Ambroise oatmeal stout for the pumpkin pie. Other than that, there’s still a fair number of Tree House IPA’s in the fridge for between times.

Great choice. I’m debating between St Bernardus abr 12 and saison Dupont for Thanksgiving dinner.

Definitely will be drinking some Sierra Nevada celebration on Thanksgiving and then the day after when we take out the Christmas decorations and put up the Christmas tree. They go hand-in-hand.

I also will be drinking some PBR’s for hydration purposes between beers.

I will also likely enjoy at least one award winning homebrew brown ale. Me and a couple of my buddies brew it every year in the fall so it’s ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Entered in a contest a couple years ago and got a gold medal for it. Certified judge classified it as a world class beer. Almost got a perfect score. That goes very well with a variety of foods. Will likely enjoy that with some deviled eggs for an appetizer.Full disclaimer though on that brown ale. I did not design the recipe. That goes to the body of mine who I brew with. We all have worked to perfect the brewing process and get the most out of the recipes we make but he was the one who really designed it. Some more of the credit probably goes to him for that one.

enjoy your Thanksgiving everybody and if you think I should go with the Dupont or abt12 let me know I’m back-and-forth on it.
