You can order directly from Moonlight. Otherwise, I've ordered some from K&L's NorCal stores and had it shipped to their Hollywood store. (When they have it)

Not made in CA but imported by a company out of LA. schonramer Pils was amazing even at a year old, and schonramer Gold is an excellent, maltier pale lager.

Anyone up in eureka/arcata, redwood curtain 299 pilsner is solid enough but their new chiappone Italian pilsner is a very enjoyable modern pilsner with that softer body and nice floral hops

I gotta say... now that it’s almost October... my oils game is declining. Which is a shame when I just bought a bunch of goddamn pilsners.

I've always been a sucker for the Karl Strauss Oktoberfest, I grab a 6-pack whenever I see it this time of year when I have to go to the grocery store.

Been drinking Knee Deep Hola Senor. Going to be 95 degrees in NORCAL today..... Not sure if it sees distro down in SoCal though?

Favorite is probably Urban Roots (Sacramento) Luna De Miel.

Should've gone to bed. Instead I opened up a Dad Beer dry hopped German pilsner and it turns out I'm still a genius. This is a great pilsner. Wonderful stuff

I need to revisit Dad Beer. I remember having it on draft at the brewery last year. Loved it grabbed a 4-pk. Also liked The Wrigs and Port City Pils enough to grab a 4-pk of each from a different visit.

I'm not sure where "down here" is, but Ironfire Stetsons and Sombreros is about as perfect as an American brewed Mexican lager can be.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but Temescal should be getting WAY more love for their lagers. The Pils is one of my local favorites and the CRISPR is also one of the best Helles I've ever had.

Moonlight and Enegren are also top notch. I've had multiple cases shipped to me from both of them during the pandemic and have always been very pleased. Reality Czech and D&T will always be game changers for me. If you haven't tried the Moonlight 9 5/16 Czech Dark Lager, I highly recommend it next time it comes out. It's a great dry, malty lager at 4.1% ABV. So good. Enegren is super solid as well. They probably make the best traditional German style lagers I've had in Cali.

SARA has brewed some amazing lagers but they've been incredibly inconsistent (like their hoppy cans) The first batch of Bed Level was sublime.

Russian River Velvet Glow and STS are both awesome but kinda pricey. I usually always opt for a 4 pack of Heater Allen or Temescal Pils since the price is better and the quality is roughly the same.

I love Highland Park but for some reason I can't get down with Timbo. It tastes too American for me and doesn't quite give me the "lager" experience I'm looking for. Nice beer though. Same deal with Green Cheek. Their Helles was pretty traditionally German tasting, but not anything to write home about. The others I've tried have had too much new world hop character and were out of balance. I haven't tried a lot of their stuff though.

I can do without Fieldwork or Cellarmaker lagers. They try hard but haven't hit the mark for me even though I like a lot of the beers they do in other styles and are two of the most local breweries for me.

I've been surprisingly impressed with the Modern Times lagers. I have some of the Oat Dunkel (collab with Enegren) and the Dort right now and both are really nice.

You might dig humble sea's offerings. I'd suggest checking them out if you come across any in the wild or place an order. :+1:

Funny you should say this because I just had their Smoked Helles. Very nice stuff indeed.
