    Wife’s birthday has been nice. She turns 28 today. I told her this morning congrats she made it through the 27 Club!

    I woke up early and went out so she could wake up to flowers and a cookie cake she requested for some reason, so that helped!

    For dinner she has requested spicy carne tacos ala diabla. I’ve perfected this sauce for the steak and chorizo to cook in. Luckily still had a bit of dried chiles left tucked away in the pantry, no worries @LarryV still ordering some! — She’s doing a Zoom with our friends and family in a bit, so I’ll be in the background slaving away. Meat is marinating, just need to work on roasting and rehydrating these chiles.

    Not a huge Christmas guy - just too commercialized for me. However I put the tree up today with mixed emotions. Other Half Nelson Everything is pretty damn good.[​IMG]

    Stanley's first album is a classic...and I was mistaken, Ry's concert was in 1974, not 1973. And that Japanese whiskey is nice, although I believe I prefer the Nikka Coffey Grain that I recently killed off...

    Yes, I just mentioned that to @Thankin_Hank...just finished a bottle of the Coffey Grain (haven't tried the Coffey Malt), and really enjoyed that one...

    Drinking a Daily Serving: Tropical Punch right now, brewed with Guava, Passion Fruit, Mango, Pineapple, Lime, and Lemon. Has almost a coconut note in it too, conceptualizing tropical tiki drinks like mai tai and pina colada. Real interesting, a bit much, drinks heavier than the 3.8% abv to me, nice though. Cheers!

    Nice soup and the guitar! I just purchased a Yamaha guitar about a month ago after alot of research. Now out of my acoustics(including Martin and Guild) it is my favorite guitar. Happy playing![​IMG]
