I heard HDHC Dense is good. Flavorful for 6.5%. Whatever that means... Probably picking some up this weekend.

I'm not really a stout guy so I don't know from personal experience, but I do remember seeing a facebook comment thread about Aslin stouts where these snot worm looking things are apparently somewhat common.

I can't remember which one - but I def had that in an other half stout once in the past. I ate/tasted it - actually tasted pretty good (cue more jokes).

PS #project191 now quickly becoming way out of reach. #unassailable #greyvtrayn

    ⠀
Triple Mosaic Dream Imperial IPA (10.5%) Our favorite version of Mosaic, Triple Mosaic Dream. All Mosaic and triple dry hopped with both Mosaic and Mosaic Cryo. $22 per 4 pack.

Everyone agreed Dusted was pretty good originally right? I missed out but might be around to grab some Sunday if anyone wants to report back!

it was a great first batch. I’d also like to know how this is and if it has any strong flavor notes that rhyme with felon.

The Mosaic DDH HS God has that illusive fruity pebble hop flavor I’ve been looking for now for years. Holy hell! Storm the damn gates - I’m going back for seconds.

It’s going to take a scandal at this point. Maybe it’ll come out that the Crunchees are only .5% abv.

Posting this here because #project191, drinking Double Something Simcoe from Finback and wishing I had Forever Simcoe. Still a fine beer but doesn't have that "hand-selected" hop quality.

I find Simcoe to be THE most underwhelming hop. I just don't get it.

@Sheppard I'm personally a huge fan of the hop. Your post though got me thinking if there are any hops I find "underwhelming" and I can't quite think of one, because for me all hops can sometimes be underwhelming when they're not peak, but I've also found that many shine quite nicely if you're lucky to score a well made, fresh brew at the right time of year.

Put another way: I either like a hop (Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra) or I hate it (pretty much just Nelson...I get that weird rubber taste from it, which I understand is a palate deficiency not unlike those who think cilantro tastes like soap).

For me Simcoe is generally a beige hop. Don’t love it like citra. Don’t dislike it like sabro. Simcoe is an accountant from Decorah, IA who enjoys fishing at weekends and has a model aircraft collection.

I love Simcoe. I get a lot of pineapple notes, but it also has piney bitterness.

    Boo, hiss!

Forever Simcoe is amazing. Pineapple for days when it's on with just enough pine to offset the juice.

I love Simcoe. Underrated. It's the most dank juice.
