Why can't I buy wrapping paper from Revolution direct? I hope they're giving some away this weekend or my presents are going to be lamer than usual this year (I don't want to go to Binnys for it, plus points!).

Gee, I wonder where you heard this...

Haha, your original post was drastically different. How did you edit without it showing as such? Sneaky!
(My guess is @FBarber assisted lol)

Oh crap - not trying to be sneaky...you know YOU posted it first!! You 'da man!
Our posts were nearly simultaneous and I saw yours just after posting mine. So I went to Twitter to verify and get the link to share.
Cheers to you - and thanks for contributing. Hopefully we can all get to a release in fall 2021!

Everyone I know is getting one of these for Christmas. Budget friendly and I get Rev Rewards points.

A 4 pack of DB VSOD has been bid up to $100 + shipping on My Beer Collectibles.

The new crowler is up for $120 + shipping.

The shitlords are on their game! Especially for beers they don't even have yet.

I think the cat is out of the bag as far as Revolution staying under the radar for the Deep Woods beers. I’ve never seen more posts in Limited trade forum for Rev beers either, which means people out of region are starting to pay closer attention. I foresee more challenging times in acquiring their beer moving forward.

One way for Rev to handle that would be to eliminate proxies. Still doesn’t mean DBVSOD wouldn’t have sold out in like 8 minutes, it would probably have been higher limits though

I'd be curious to know how many people use proxies locally - being out in the burbs we've got a group where one of us will just pick up everyone's orders. Could see it creating some traffic flow issues if that's a common enough occurrence and they decided to get rid of proxies.

I would also think there is a share of those people who can’t be bothered with driving in to the city also.

Im not advocating for them to get rid of proxies but I do think it would make it a tad more accessible for the super limited stuff

EDIT: traffic concerns could be mitigated by creating a longer pickup window

With how heavily staffed the pickups are, I would guess it’s impractical to have the drive through open for longer than 3 days

I agree with you here for sure. I've made for similar calls already in other threads (I want easier access to beers I want!! Totally selfish on my part, and I only half-joke). Only issue with that is, during this pandemic where revenue and tips are not coming from direct in-person service with customers, I would imagine most breweries shifted their mindset to 'lets just make sure we stay in business any way that we can'. A lot of breweries seem to have gone the proxy route to stay operating and compensate for loss of on-premises revenue, and some now even deliver directly to you.

Will things change back to no-proxies once we come back to 'normal', is a good question. I would guess some breweries that don't need to have their beers accessible to proxies at that time or aren't interesting in promoting the 'hype' outside of area, they'll eliminate it. Some I don't think ever will now that they see the demand from a national market as opposed to only regional.

I think this is/will be true for certain Deep Woods like VSO products (VSOJ was the first Rev beer I remember people really being ISO of) but generally there seems to be the anti-tax or whatever you want to call it because of cans. I don't know whether that's my own perception but I rarely see ISO for Rev stuff and when they are they want the whole 4 pack.
