I went through the same thing this morning and chatted with the Bruery about shipping options. I thought I'd pull a bunch of bottles from the cellar to mitigate the cost. Then it occurred to me what if they have something else tomorrow. On top of that, I'd rather receive my shipment next week.

Everything we have planned, crowler-wise, has gone up. In the future for sales and membership details @BruerConner and @SaisonSteve are good references for questions like these!

Okay....3L Furst....now THAT is next level! I was not really excited about the BT 3L, but Furst..... fingers crossed I win that lotto. Only 9 bottles available and HS only.

Wondering why they didn't roll this out when it was fresh though... it was so damn good in September I would have tried to make this happen despite being out of state.

Sadly it didn't hold up well at all. It was also one of my favorites when released, but I opened one last year and it was a bit of a mess. Better than the non-BA version, but that's just because there is some faint bourbon to help.

Still sitting on one of those! I got mine in 2017 when I was still Reserve. Don’t remember what the sale was. They Are excellent.

I suggest cracking it open soon. I had my last one about 2 months ago and the raspberry was fading and wasn't as good as I remember, but still one of my favorites.

I also just cracked open a Raspberry Valley tonight, oh wow, it's very similar in flavor with a hint of the wine barrel. This is a great substitute for the 2016 Hoarders Cuvee, find it a bit hard to bite at the $27 price point though for extras from the sale but will probably pick up an extra.

Also agree, I was worried when I cracked opened mine 2 weeks ago and it gushed. I can only hope that a 3L doesn't do the same!!! lol

I tried to buy two 16oz crowlers and add 14 other cans from my cellar, but it was coming up with $36 for shipping instead of $18. I emailed Society a couple hours ago but no response yet :slight_frown:

Then I got a notification they tried to deliver my Hoarder box but apparently were given the wrong address. Not my day!

I think I'll console myself later, and prepare for tomorrow, with a BA 5 Golden Rings...

I emailed Society last night and still haven’t got a response, so they must be really busy. My package delivered yesterday included 2 bottles of Chocolate Rain instead of the 2 Chocolate Reigns that I ordered. Was really looking forward to drinking one of those tonight haha. Drinking a For a Spell instead and it’s fantastic!

Oh boy... BBA 5 Golden is fantastic. I'm shuddering to think what the price will be tomorrow assuming they have some... I think it was $40 last year, but BA 4 Birds today was $60... hmm...

It's still super boozy, but in a good way like a cocktail. The pineapple tastes great. The spicing is very soft. The mouthfeel is I think what's really amazing - it's so rich for a light colored Belgian. Sweetness is not overdone, and still a modest carbonation that I think helps keep it from getting syrupy.

Fresh batch is coming 2025 right? Man I hope they can replicate this. Better start putting some money aside now...

I consider that to be my favorite of all their Christmas beers to be honest!

At this point, I think I do not disagree with you... It's pretty majestic. I do think it enjoys a bit of a lift by being so unique from the others.

Runners up would be: regular 5 Golden has always been great to me, and I was fortunate to be able to get a case of regular 3 French Hens a few years ago which was delicious. Both versions of 10 Lords and 12 Drummers have been delightful, and I enjoyed this year's Partridge.

In the upcoming years, I'm very interested to get a crack at BA Partridge, BA 2 Turtle and BA 4 Birds for the first time. I guess BA 6 Geese too since it soured before I could try it.

was it $18 for 16 cans before?

I did the full vertical of non-BA ones last year and 5GR was definitely one of the best ones of the night. Which was strange for me personally because I remember having it on tap in 2017 or 2018 and thinking it was kind of gross, so it was also a pleasant surprise! 2TD/7 Swans/10 Lords were some of my other favorites.

I think 8 cans is $15 and 16 is $18. That's how the flex shippers were and it's what I've paid for a couple 16 can shippers since the new site went live.

I agree. I just had the 5GR last night from the set and they definitely made it into the beer it should have been 8-9 years ago. I remember it actually tasted great the very first time having it on tap, but quickly started to get into a sticky mess

Just tried putting 16 bakery cans in an order and it shows $46 for shipping. Getting some odd prices.
