I'm in CT and in the same boat. I used to be able to pretty easily pick up a wide variety of JA stuff including seasonals and limited run things. Now it seems to be pretty slim pickings at my usual places. Finally found Red Tape today and did a fist pump in the store.

I’m reluctantly liking your post because we’re in the same boat. Maibock, Fire in the Ham, the Rising beers, Red Tape and now Modern Hell...doubt I’ll get any of them.

Just shy of three months, for a collaboration series that’s most alluring: “Lagers of The World”

Wonder if that Estonian collaboration will be with Pohjala.

Seems likely and you'd have to think it would be a baltic porter regardless

@JacksAbbyBrewing am I reading this right that there will be no more 6 packs of the core stuff? Kinda freakin' out. What would a 4 pack of house lager cost? (MSRP at least)

I like the move to four packs of 16 oz. Framinghammer (I’m a fan of the OG version and I tend to split them anyway). I love the six pack of 16 oz. cans, so I’m bummed to see those leave especially Copper Legend, but I think that is more incentive for 12/15 packs of House and Copper. I ain’t mad.

What tells you the framinghammer 4 packs are moving to 16 oz cans?

oh yikes. the 6x16 packs for core & seasonal are the best deals out there. can reguarly get them for $8-$10. I hope this means we'll be seeing the 4pk in the $6/$7 range...

The move to 4-packs of 16oz cans will definitely push me away from purchasing the core beers unless I'm interested enough for a 12- or 15-pack.

yeah. bummed about no 6x16 of house lager. Probably my most regular purchase of craft beer. Even though I know it's a worse deal than the 15pk, I prefer the full pint pours of one of the best beers of all time.

Shit, so that 6x16oz of Red Tape I bought last night will be a thing of the past? Bummer, but I will still buy JA beer no matter the format or price point.

I wonder if the move to four packs in 2021 is Covid related?

6 x 16 is the best format in beer, imo. And when you can get six packs of Red Tape so inexpensively...

Wouldn't be surprised if it gets/got relegated to brewery only releases. Regardless of how good they are, it's hard to sell IPLs against IPAs, especially at distro.

If they still release it at the brewery that’s good enough for me.

Picked up Modern Hell today AND Fire in the Ham was there, which was an awesome surprise.

Fire in the Ham is a nice treat—sadly, haven’t seen it in stores, and I know it’s been out out for awhile. Possibly time to hit the brewery!
