I’m a bit slow on closing yesterday’s virtual bar and opening today’s, but fuck it. Let’s have a great day drinking beer, you filthy animals. [IMG]

How is Willittized this year @mschrei ? Have a four pack I'll get around to trying at some point this Winter God willing. Took beer inventory and have 229 in the refrigerator, didn't count the cellar where the Willittized and God Only Knows how many others are waiting to be adopted.

Starting nice an easy, a new Fall beer release from Firestone Walker, Chocolate Cherry Stout.

Full review in the NBW / NBS thread. Long story short, its a well balanced stout, chocolate and other sweet flavors balanced by a nice bitter hops presence, no Cherry despite the name, but would grab another one if given the chance.

The Blues Before Sunrise Christmas Show is winding down, many great tunes throughout the night, a second set next Sunday Morning. See you all all later today.

    Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!!!

@ChicagoJ, the Willetized is amazing as always. Want to try that Firestone Chocolate Cherry with Revolution Deth by Cherries if it isn’t an unfair comparison.

Great music choices, sir. I went to high school with one of these great blues musicians.

Really cool, thanks for posting. Been listening to Blues, and Blues/Jazz mixes more recently, many great shows on WDCB Thursday and Saturday Nights / Sunday Mornings.

I liked Deth by Cherries, but wasn't blown away. The heavy carbonation, the most I ever recall from BA imperial stout, is the most memorable feature for me. The FW beer is like many other stouts, though surprised to not pick up any cherry, and after completing my review looked at others posted here and many stated the same (no or faint cherry). Didn't have that issue with Deth by Cherries (either the draft last year or the canned version this year).

Two more from Steve Cushing's playlist tonight, both Blues focused to honor your friend and their great band.

    Cheers!

Goodmorning advocates. Currently drink a Goose Island BCBS 2020 sent from @basaywhat and its just as good as the previous years. That bourbon chocolate caramel taste i get from this is glorious. I'm also stoked to see Kevin and Kyrie debut tonight. Should be a good day with beer and basketball cheers

Good morning BAs! Early start with Deth’s Tar (2020) courtesy of @Number1Framer :

Canned 20/7/20. Poured at 53°. Strong bourbon nose/chocolate bourbon balls taste. I was told that this DT was the best year yet...I agree - this beer is amazing!

My back went out again; I’ll hobble out with the dogs and see how that goes...I’ll be back so hold my seat at the bar  Cheers!

Just got off working 8.5 at the gas station. Slow night as it is Sunday. Still got the usual regulars. I am going over my GFs house for the day. Still need to work at 10PM today. Hoping to squeeze as small nap in there.

    Awesome NEIPA.

Was on the radio on the 5 minute drive home, so I got the bass line stuck in my head. I forgot my vape juice at work when I left, so I went back and filled my tires up, since they have a machine that automatically fills to the correct pressure. My TPMS has been yelling at me for weeks, maybe months :grimacing:

I only made it as far as the driveway...fortunately, Jr. Z hasn’t moved out yet, and he took the dogs for their walk today. I fed them on their return, and I’m in my “office” self-medicating - another hard to get (here in SWFL) favorite - Bell’s BBA Expedition Stout:

Bottled 5/18/20. Poured at 53°. Courtesy of @Number1Framer ... Layers of roasted chocolate malt, cocoa nibs, semi sweet milk chocolate, bourbon; oak, vanilla middle; roast coffee, chocolate and bourbon finish. Minimal warmth from 13.6%. Darn!, this is a spectacular BBA Stout! Not adjuncty, just straight up barrel notes that compliment the base and adjuncts. Well done Bells, and thanks Andy! Cheers y’all!

Is this the one you said was the best Treehouse beer of the year in your opinion? I may be thinking of someone else.
