Hey everyone, we're fully aware that customer service on our end hasn't been up to par. It's been a crazy year with COVID and the shifting responsibilities of personnel to adapt, the holiday rush, deliveries and pickups, but we're working hard to bring our customer service back to the level you are all familiar with.

With that said, you can email Conner, Daniel, or myself and we'll be happy to take a look at your issue.

For a Spell is solid...but I can't help but think it's just Bourbon County Light. Super similar flavor profile, but slightly less so, with less barrel.

Pumped to pick up some more Oh My Cherry today. That was an amazing beer.

Really? I like bourbon county but thought for a spell was delicious. Would never think to compare the two. Might have to do a side by side this weekend. Wouldn't think bourbon county comes close though.

I have 2018 bcbs on tap here and compared the two last night - super close (for me at least) in flavor profile, Spell was just a bit lighter. Not knocking it; I thought it was delicious!

So the feel for Spell is much greater than the average Bruery stout?

Yeah, that's what it says... Which is also what they used in White Oak, right?

Except they can't use mischief anymore because the new recipe's hopping would probably be weird. So a new strong blonde makes sense.

Yeah I believe white oak sap was just white oak thrown into bourbon barrels

Hmm. I thought it was the opposite: that White Oak Sap is a BBA wheatwine used in various blends, one of which was White Oak (RIP) which blended 50/50 White Oak Sap with v1 Mischief.

I am not so sure about 50/50 Mischief blend, but you are correct that White Oak Sap is part of White Oak. Here is a full description from way back:
“The primary component of our "White Oak" ale is a 100% barrel aged wheat wine that we affectionately refer to as "White Oak Sap." Essentially a "summer" barley-wine style ale, but made with a wheat heavy grain base, White Oak Sap is aged in used bourbon barrels for nearly a year and comes out rich in flavors of coconut, honey, caramel and vanilla.”

Furthermore, White Chocolate is White Oak Sap with cacao nibs and vanilla beans.

Yes, White Oak is definitely a 50/50 blend of White Oak Sap and Mischief. Check untapped/BA descriptions, says the same thing.

You're right - I just read the White Oak Sap untappd description, which seems to contradict itself lol
"BBA version of White Oak, used primarily as a blender beer. This beer is not typically served on it's own."

White Oak is/was a 50/50 blend of White Oak Sap and non-dry hopped Mischief.
