A) Turbid, yellow-gold froths up a lasting and lacing head.
S) Very dank tropical note, with dominant grapefruit, bitter orange, apricot, mango.
TF) Follows smell but massive mouth-filling flavors, feel and fizz. Now there's more mango and complexity, wth a grassy, then piney development. musty, oily, sticky, bitter. (Watch your palate)
Mouth is medium, creamy, fizzy carb.
O) Ontario's craft always appeals and in this case with a massive bitter bomb.

a/ pours a hazy, yet bright light golden body, with ample fingers of puffy, bubbly white head, that lasts and laces.
s/ Aromas of dank grass, pine resin, minerally water flint and lots of hempy, leafy, weed.
t/ As with aroma, plus bright, piney hops. Fine hop complexity and bittering in finale.
f/ creamy mid-weight, smooth, resinous candy like without being sweet due to astringency.
o/ great feel and taste, had me wanting more and to blind test against some great dipas.

I've found Canadien beers tasty, you? Life in the Clouds- flagship New England style IPA - is no exception.
a) Totally hazed clouded with particulate body pours a rippled cloudy head that laces well but faces to seaside cap.
s) fruit forward with citrus and melon prominant and sun-baked hay.
t) the bitter hops restrain the fruit to a sharp and pungent finale.
f) Chalky, juice like, unfiltered, with a peppery bitter finish.
o) NEIPA - at its best from North of the border.

My wife's baking a bunch of cookies for the neighbors so we decided to crack a beer while doing so. Tin Bridge Brewing - Blackberry French Toast Stout. The beer name doesn't lie, it tastes like blackberry french toast. Good amount of blackberries, tons of maple and cinnamon flavor. Not something I'd go for all the time, but I'm ok to split a crowler of it every once and a while. Very well made.

Revolution Double Barrel Very Special Old Deth Imperial Stout. This beer shows just how outstanding and talented Rev’s barrel program really is. The brewery’s description:
The absolute pinnacle of our Deth’s Tar lineup, “Very Special Old Deth - Double Barrel” sits at the intersection of extremity and sophistication. During the second year of aging, a small number of specially selected Deth's Tar barrels are blended then finished in fresh Weller Special Reserve Barrels and Weller 10 year barrels. 17% ABV

Layers and layers of depth and complexity from both the base and barrels. Drying oak tannin, char, vanilla, coconut macaroon, molasses, black cherry, raisin, spice, coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate, bittersweet chocolate chip, obvious bourbon, burnt brown sugar, tobacco, and leather. Each sip brings something different into the mix. Quite smooth considering the 17% abv, but extremely warming as it goes down. Perfect for the 40 degree weather I’m drinking this in. One of the best beers I’ve enjoyed in 2020 and probably the past few years honestly. Wow!

 

I don't often buy a six of something I've never had before, but...

Went for a sixer of Gumballhead and this, Victory's Sour Monkey, 9.5% abv sour tripel...

Groovy - reminds me of a juicy, wild ale but with just enough "tripel" to fill it out and keep it from being too tart or too tight or too ordinary - very refreshing, very drinkable - a good purchase... Best by bottling of 9/17/22...
