I went out of my way to ensure I picked up a six pack of Shiner's Holiday Cheer, as it's usually a Christmas favorite. I was disappointed what was almost a watery/sour flavor. Has anyone else experienced this?

Tried it a few days ago for the first time, did not like it at all, what's left of the six pack might end up being a drain pour.

Just to be clear, I've had this before and loved it. It's the 2020 version I think is off.

Another first timer with this beer, a couple weeks back. Like you OP, I got sour bitterness.

    Isn't it different every year?

My understanding is that this flavor was consistently good for many years. I hadn't noticed a changed until now.

Whoops. I was thinking it was a different style every year. Maybe that's their birthday beer. I looked back and I had Holiday Cheer last year and was not a fan.

Strange. I thought it was sweet-peach was dominant flavor. I liked it ok-just thought it was strange that it was a holiday beer. I'm in PA though, so thought maybe in Texas peach was a Christmas flavor. Tasted more like a summer beer than Christmas.

The peach flavor is artificial tasting to me, and a bit over the top. I almost drain poured mine, but powered through three, and have three to go. They smell a bit like peach vomit to me. I’m sure that’s an odd description, but that’s what I get in the nose, and yet I’ll finish them. Not sure what’s going on with this brew.

I tried it this year, not a fan, though I haven't been in the past either. This year I thought artificial peach dominated the palate. Still better then 3 years back, the bottle I had then legitimately tasted like vomit, it was one of my few drain pours.
