@Insomniac I watched the Hip documentary you recommended. Was very hard to watch...not because it was a bad movie (it was actually great), but because of knowing how it ends. Definitely gave me feelings. And reminded me of this song I hadn’t listened to in quite some time. Among their best.

Every time I try a Budweiser or Bud Light I come away both impressed how well they can make a very clean refreshing beer and disappointed that the beer is nothing like what August Busch tasted in the Czech city of České Budějovice (Budweis in German) when he was looking and tasting for inspiration. Good thing he married Lilly Anheuser, son of a soap salesman, and got the ball rolling in St. Louis.

Founders Breakfast Stout to start the morning. My last one. I can find for $8.99 if I keep my eye out for it.

 

Celebration 2020.
Found it in the shop yesterday (here in NL). Love this kind of Christmas beer, since I tend to stay away from most of the sweet and spicy Christmas-cake like beers.

L - 2-finger bright white foamy head is still in place after several minutes. Murky, bright-orange body. Guessing hazy ipa.
S - orange, honey?, faint malt. Sticking with ipa.
T - tons of orange, followed by citrus hops. Maybe honey but second guessing that. Low bitterness. Moderate-low sweetness. No booziness. Definitely ipa.
F - medium-full, creamy body with appropriate carb.
O - this is a very wall balanced, single(?) ipa. Possible orange/honey adjuncts but guessing now that impression was hop/malt driven. Guessing 6% abv. Definitely a NY brewery, but not Other Half, Grimm, or Evil Twin. I’m gonna guess Thin Man.

 

I don't listen to a lot of albums from end to end, but I do Fully Completely every time. Cheers!

 

Perhaps my favorite album ever. And listening to those haunting lyrics now gives them a completely different meaning from when that album came out forever ago.
