    Interesting! I had no conception of them currently existing. So much so, that after re-reading your original post I’m embarrassed by how my personal experience blinded me to your actual words. Perhaps morning distractions played a role; regardless it is a tad disturbing how different your words were from my initial reading of them.

    Maybe auctions aren’t such a big deal. I still think trading is more in keeping with the Advocation and Respect elements of BA’s mission.

    can someone explain what tf this “shoot your shot” meme phrase is that is all of a sudden ubiquitously so popular? is this considered an “auction”? maybe it’s an inside joke I’m missing idk but am clearly confused.

    Apparently the phrase “shoot your shot” stems from the Wayne Gretzky quote “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”. Typically used in reference to going after a girl you’re fond of.

    reference to auctions means. I have BBT give me your best offer.

    I've interpreted this being used in replies in the context of the OP throwing a Hail Mary, throwing up a quantity of bottles for 1-2 big bottles and hoping something sticks. Similar to "finding the right eyes".

    I agree, transparency is key with trades and 'deals'. There is a great beer community and for the most part everyone is doing 'right to everyone.
