Good day BAs! Off to another nondescript winter morning on the NW PA tundra - my son and I may go out to the range later, assuming the sun rises today. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Very rough for the style - should have either spent more time in the barrels or had less coffee dumped in. Rating 4.11, rDev -4.9%.

Have a good Thursday. Another 8 hours in the bag, hopefully will get a Design Engineering interview in the next couple weeks. I am going to guitar center when they open. Going to get a nice Dimarzio hot distortion bridge, and a new pick guard for my strat. Also getting a couple sets of Ernie Ball Power Slinkies.

Got some breakfast after I got off too. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is legit. Others are hot ham and swiss.

    Awesome BSDA as always.

    Labatt Blue Citra on ice!

No, I'm not drinking it on the rocks. I'm drinking it while ice fishing! For you southern BA'ers, that's when the lakes freeze solid up north and we go out, drill a hole and fish!:grin: Slow day, only 4 pickerel so far.

I'm having a New Trail White. It's a Belgian style white ale. It's quite good. Notes of spiciness, wheat, lemon and yeast in the nose and palate. I wish I had more than just the one.

Another witbier. This time, Victory Whirlwind. It's got spicy coriander, orange, lemon, banana, wheat & yeast in the aroma and taste. It was added to BA in 2001, and somehow or other, I've never seen it before. Well, that has been corrected.

Working on cutting back my drinking, I think I didn't drink for 5 days at all? I figure I earned a 6% smoothie which many would argue isn't even a beer

RIP MF Doom. You were a gift to the world and touched the lives of millions. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten as the lyrical master with a unique completely non-bitten style.

Starting today with an old Clown Shoes Pecan Pie Porter aged in bourbon barrels from 2017. Really nice, sweet, nutty pecan, honey toffee notes, bourbon barrel, dark caramel, dark chocolate, roasted coffee, some dark dried fruits, hint of earthy hop, pecan pie notes linger. Cheers everyone!

I'm having a Firestone Walker Luponic Distortion IPA Series 017. Supposedly, it has hints of lime, blueberry and pomelo. I'm going to admit upfront I have zero clue what the hell pomelo is, so it could be the predominant flavor and I wouldn't know. But the blueberry is pretty prominent, if the lime isn't. There's a strong hop presence in this one. Pretty interesting...I think this is the 1st time I've seen blueberry put into an IPA.
