First I'll keep with the thread and say that I have not ever had a beer membership. I just don't have the time and basically can't be arsed at the moment.

I almost started a thread about Viking. I had a couple of their offerings during a bottle share way back in February this year (right before Covid hit the fan). I hadn't known about this brewery prior and got to try their Raspberry Marshmallow and Blueberry Marshmallow. I was blown away as I had never experienced such stellar heavily fruited Weisse offerings before. They're a dark horse, IMO. Good on you for grabbing a membership. Now that they have a taproom I do hope to make a visit someday when all of this madness is over.

Don’t all of their beers taste the same? Just different fruit?

Yeah, literally every single beer entered into Untappd is a fruited Berliner weisse.

I only had two of them. I can't speak for their other brews. I felt that the ones that I tried were unique for the style.

I haven't had any, but I would assume that the different fruit makes them taste different.

Yeah same style but you wouldn’t confuse one for another. I saw they posted their taproom is open and they have a bunch of their beers on tap. Fortunately, they have some guest taps like 3 Floyd’s to help with palate fatigue

Just got an offer for Eagle Park membership. For $100, this is...aye dunno...uninspiring? Plus, I don't find myself going there weekly, which is probably what would make it worth it.

If you can afford it, do it. All breweries are hurting because of the pandemic, so buying the membership helps them. You get benefits too, but if it's an annual fee, you may not realize a full return on your 'investment'. But breweries need help right now.

One similar thing you can do to help breweries (again, if you can afford it) is to buy gift cards from them, and then not spend them. I'm holding onto a few from some local breweries that I don't plan to cash in until everything is back to normal.

Funny you say this, as I’ve had two of their beers and have been seriously unimpressed. I joined at the urge of a buddy at a point when it didn’t take much to talk me into something like this, and I may regret it.

I had an eagle park membership the first few years they were around. Now they're large enough that the membership value has decreased as their beer becomes more available.

    Keeping - Side Project
Adding - P3 hopefully (shouldn't that be happening very soon? Did I miss it already? I didn't see anything on the socials) and Forager
Dropping - Transient. Their bottles sit on shelves long enough now. Even if I miss a release all of their heavy hitters have been popping up on draft and I'm a close enough drive that if I am jonesing I can just do that. Plus their IPAs have sort of just become one in the same lately and that was a part of the fun of driving there, picking up some to-gos. Their lager game is stronger than ever, though, but, those aren't exactly selling out

They had a 98% retention rate from last year and aren't expanding the total # of members. For the handful of new invites they've been going down the waitlist from last year's signup but haven't seen confirmation if they finished that process.

From the sound of it, you might as well tell us you're hopefully "adding" Margot Robbie as your wife too.
