    My apologies for not posting, but I was at a Barrel Aged festival most of the day. A box from Cuzco arrived with 6 bottles in it, wrapped in brown paper!

    I think around half are Jewish or atleast married to a jewish person. :slight_smile: That's just my guess though. Technically Hanukkah doesn't start until sundown tomorrow, so if you wanna be a fake bad Jew, then open it at midnight!

    The growler I received (Boneyard Hop Venom DIPA) was consumed well in advance of today, but I thought I would post a picture today to kick off the official start of opening:

    So I just cracked open my growler from huadog from the bruery. A brewery that he knows I haven't been fond of in my recent experience with it. :slight_smile: nonetheless this one is actually quite good and one of my favorites if not my favorite. I'm guessing this was aged in a white wine barrel? My mom actually loves it! Haha. Pics coming soon. What beer is this??

    I knew you didn't care for the overly sweet beers like Chocolate Rain and Black Tuesday but this one I thought was unique and was only available for Reserve Society members - I gave you a hint on the wrapping paper, I actually wrote the name of it on the wrapping paper.... SMAAK! Glad that it sounds like you (and your mom) enjoy it.

    "Smaak, is a 5.5% abv, is a Belgian-style wheat ale that was brewed with orange juice and then aged for a short time in our sour barrels (1-2 months), giving it a slight, refreshing tartness."

    Happy for Day 1! Just cracked into my growler of Town Hall Citra from Mista. I am enjoying this one while watching UFC on FOX. I like this one more than Masala Mama for sure - a bit maltier than I would normally go for but the Citra really makes a nice showing. Thanks Mista (Day 2 is sitting on the counter taunting me)!!

    Here are some pics! Thanks huadog for this growler. I wasn't a huge fan of wheat beers, but this was quite good! I really enjoyed the wine characteristics of the barrel aging...though the beer mentions it was aged in sour barrels? It reminded me of a Mimosa aroma and taste wise. I'm getting my review together and reviewed blindly since I didn't know what it was while drinking. I shared it with some family who were over for the first night of Hanukkah and they enjoyed it! Cheers!
