Been really hoping for a Mouthful of Diamonds rebrew. Praying for no melon, I remember the first batch as fluffy smooth goodness

Didn't people complain last year they had instagram duds doing announcements and they should instead highlight hard working employees (rather than a cat spreading fecal remnants and toxoplasmosis all over beer cans) ?
At least, given COVID, they did that I suppose. Essential workers and exposure risks and all, not to mention I'm sure a lot of employees are responsible for tasks they didn't exactly sign up for with the business model changes.

Just when I thought all the hop puns had been taken, Hopsoplasmosis emerges!

Edit: Also this is going to be a long stretch of beers!

It’s crazy to think this year will be my 5th year at OH. I got my big break at Other Half as one of @joeterror sweet truck boys, throwing kegs into restaurants and sketchy bar basements across the city. You may know me if you’ve ever needed a wristband or camped out overnight on Centre Street, if you don’t, my name is Cam. Over the years I’ve worked in almost every department here. I’ve filled kegs, delivered kegs, cleaned kegs, cleaned tanks, put beer in cans, put beer in bottles, put beer in glasses, and most importantly, Magnums. I’ve also been lucky enough to be sent around the world to pour Other Half at festivals. This company is the best I’ve ever worked for and the community of people I’ve met through OH is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced and truly miss. These days you’ll find me putting curbside orders into cars, counting down the days until we can host festivals and have you all back in our taprooms.

Thanks to Cam, our Chief Vibes Officer, @cammu51one of the employees who makes OH what it is.

Off the Dome Imperial IPA (8.0%) with @rusticalesWe dreamed up this beer with the Sante crew while in NZ for hop selection. We decided to go big with our hand selected Nelson Sauvin and round it off with Kohatu and Wai-iti hops. $20 per 4 pack.

For sale on curbside at 10am tomorrow for pick up after 12.

Can’t believe the 7th anniversary is upon us...but if I learned one thing from last year its to space out the purchasing and not go for every re-brew released (despite what @algebeeric_topology says). Thinking back to last year (which feels more like two years ago because of the COVID factor) I had way too much beer on hand before the anniversary...and I had to wait in-line for over an hour to purchase more beer with ominous images of someone wearing a blue surgical mask. And let’s not forget the guns drawn and the overall shitshows...and how can I forget Kevin from a couple years ago! This year’s anniversary just won’t be the same.

Mouthful of diamonds was great the first time around but let’s not kid ourselves, “Batch 1 Was Better”! I hope to be wrong but it’s been a pretty accurate statement for many of their re-brews. Wonder if we can get a re-brew of “Batch 1 Was Better” just for kicks...lol

And to touch upon the upcoming 7th anniversary release, I’ve got a few questions. Will it be a QDH Triple HDHC melon bomb clocking in at 11% using 11 different hops? Will we get another crystal ball prediction in the label art like 6th anniversary cans? Will we see the release of DB Bananaversary sell out in less than 30 seconds online?

Would love to see DB Bananaversary, especially since I missed out on BA Bananaversary. But, maybe 30 seconds is being generous.

I did a Fox Farm run a few weeks ago and bought 2 cases. My fridge can't hold that many cans, so I've been keeping the extras in my cooler in my basement. It's been 2 weeks, and they're just as cold as if they came from the brewery and taste great. I have an RTIC though, so I'm not sure how that factors in.

If my memory serves me right I’m pretty sure I was on the brew deck for the first Things Just Happen As They Do. I can remember sitting around with Sam, our friends @verdantbrewand @eqbrewery and opening the first bag of Riwaka we used in 2019. It was quite the nerd show. Funny stuff.

I started at OH nearly 3 years ago. My earliest memories date back even further. I would come in on Sunday’s when there used to be a table in the OG tap room (absurd to think now) get a growler of Doug and just talk with Anthony. It’s pretty crazy to think that 7 years later I’m a part of this amazing team. I couldn’t be more grateful to be able to help open our facility at Domino Park. Cheers OH. Here’s to another 77 years!

I think that part of why they may not be as sought after is because they brew many of the same beers over and over. I haven't had enough of their stuff to say that they're brewing the best beer in Richmond, but I certainly feel comfortable saying they brew the best IPAs. I'm a lager guy and haven't had any of their lagers (heard good things as well). However, both Bingo and Ardent are putting out great lagers. It all depends what you're into. Grimm might be a really good comparison for TC.

$5 $8 is a small price to pay to give @Justonemore91 a reason to jump in here and take a nice melon-y dump on OH.

Just had to pop in and say props to Greg and team. God knows how many cans they have canned successfully, it’s rare that you ever hear of canning issues.

I guess I won’t post my drain pour videos of my formerly beloved DDH ACE and Mylar. But I am an equal opportunity drain pourer, have drain poured $22 bottles of Finback.

Past and Present is stellar. Has that beautiful resiny, fruity pebble-esque Centennial attribute which is reminiscent of a Westy (I’m making that a thing now) with the body of a newer generation IPA. Very, very nice.

I’m very excited to have the privilege of announcing this beer. To me this beer encapsulates Other Half’s incredible ability to push the boundaries of making great beer, while also tapping into the nostalgia and community surrounding our brewery.

First and foremost, I am a fan of Other Half and fell in love with both the beer and the community. I love sharing a hazy or a few with friends or strangers, whether at a bar, at home or on #linelife, and the camaraderie that builds immediately. After drinking the beer and bugging @joeterror to give me a job for long enough I got my start on the truck, much like my bubba @cammu51. After cutting my teeth on the streets of the city delivering beer and working can sales, I am now the sales rep for all of NYC and I truly love selling beer and interacting with all of our amazing accounts. Now, I excitedly await the days I can hit the streets again and have a beer with all of you at one of the many amazing establishments that serve our beer!

I’ve been here since before the brewhouse was commissioned, and Joe joined shortly after opening. We’ve both done a lot of different things here over the years and have helped and seen the brewery grow in many ways, but we still remember when Other Half was just 195 Centre street and its tiny, dimly lit bar.

This beer reminds us of those original days. We remember dropping the first kegs of this beer to our friends at bars and restaurants, both here and gone. The feedback was great, though people sometimes complained it was too hazy. LOL. We’ve seen the beer game grow and change, but we love the Other Half IPA and it’s good to have the original feel-good beer of late winter back with us.

Anthony @crack1open was the first employee at Other Half. Joe @joeterror was the second. They were here before gangsta cat and have been repping OH before anyone knew or cared about our beer. We can’t imagine this brewery being what it is today without either one of them. Cheers to 7 years!!!

Other Half IPA (7.0%) One of the most OG of our offerings. This WEST COAST STYLE IPA, yeah you read it right, was our first year round offering to the bars and restaurants of NYC. It's so good, fight me. 2021 this beer is not. Enjoyable it is. Columbus, Chinook, Centennial, Cascade and Simcoe hopped at a NEIPA rate but on a WC base. The true OH OG's know this one well. Back for our 7th Anniversary, who knows if we will see it again anytime soon. $16 per 4 pack.

For sale at 10am tomorrow for pick up after 12
