Other Half (2021)

Looks like they're going to start brewing at Domino Park. Maybe they'll be brewing Doug?

 

I never had it but the hype has piqued my interest. I keep seeing it mentioned here and on their Instagram posts.

 

When I started with Other Half I had no idea what an important part of my life it would become. Don't get me wrong, I was excited and honored to brew for OH, but I had no idea how deep the ties I formed here would be. Most my friends are OH and over time they have become family. ⁠

When I came to launch DC, my biggest fear was that it wouldn't feel the same and I'd just be crazy homesick for what I had back in BK, but whether it is by dumb luck or design this place attracts just the most amazing people and I found myself with even more new family members. ⁠

This is straight up the best group of people I could ever hope to work with and I am so damn happy and proud to be a part of this team. ⁠

Bobby @threepintsdeep was our head brewer @otherhalfnyc until he heard the siren call of his home swamp and moved back to NOLA for a brief stint. Now he’s come back to us once more and is at the helm as the head brewer of OHDC. He may also be the most handsome head brewer at OH, don’t @ us @stjepavich @felipehiggins @cloudsofflan⁠

Double Blueberry Crunchee Imperial Granola Berliner Weisse (9.5%) with Blueberries, Almonds, Toasted Coconut, Vanilla, Maple, Cinnamon and Milk Sugar. Regular Blueberry Crunchee will be back but for now we thought you might like even more blueberry and granola goodness with this double version of your favorite breakfast beer. $24 per 4 pack.

 

Had this issue too, Mosaic + Strata is great though.

 

Maybe we’ll get lucky and have some Phantasm powder in there too!

 

What will the hop bill look like?

 

I seem to be immune to melon because I didn’t pick that up in C+S. And while it definitely wasn’t close to batch 1 (duh), I did enjoy it, and my cans at least certainly not oxidised.

Mosaic + Strata: really enjoyed but it’s not quite doing it for me to the extent it seems to be for some others.

 

Breeze @craft_breezy and Daniel @dans_world21 get the call for the last beer of the week, a collab with our friends @monkishbrewing. Breeze and Daniel both transferred to OHB from different CA breweries so we found it appropriate that they announce this fan favorite. ⁠⠀

It’s time for that West Coast shout out. This post is for my A1s since Day 1. Para mi familia, amigos, y mi comunidad. I get to celebrate another Anniversary with Other Half and brew another collab with Monkish. ⁠⠀

Time has flown by and as I look back on this year, I have been fortunate enough to not only have a go at our DC location, but also have been given an amazing opportunity in becoming a board member for the @mjfbrewdistill. I am happy. I am appreciative. I am grateful. ⁠⠀

I could not have had these experiences without the support and encouragement from my bosses, family, my friends, and my community back home. What a thrilling ride it has been. ⁠⠀

Over the last 2 years being at Other Half has made me miss 2 championships and plenty of family meals, but I am glad 1 person can relate, Daniel take it from here:⁠⠀

People like to throw around the cliché “living the dream” but I can honestly say I am. On the west coast I was trading for Other Half beer and now I have the privilege of brewing for this team. Unfortunately the tacos in DC aren’t like LA’s but I’ll keep searching! ⁠⠀

Having an Enjoy the Juice - this is my first proper melonic baptism of fire, since melon-gate started

 

So on a scale of Grape Conversate to Pink Like Whoa Can, what do you think of the melon?

 

Can some explain the Pink Like Whoa meme? I've seen it mentioned a few times before on other platforms

I don't think my fridge can handle another two weeks of, according to beerwithflavor, 5x(fire) releases. Does Domino Park offer all cans as singles? Also, any idea on the pricing?
