The lemon thing is interesting. And I can see what you're saying with the "acidic" angle. Based on the fantastic Revolution X, cherries are probably a good idea. Blackberries sound good also. Maybe you could add some cinnamon and make it a "cobbler" barleywine?

Cobbler sounds tasty I just don't know how well the cinnamon would play. Straight Jacket has big bold flavors and it is tough to fit more bold flavors like a cinnamon in there. I think cherries would be very complimentary especially if you could get both sweet and tart from them.

Yeah but I think they did something special with their fruit beers. Strawberry Jacket and even Honey Jacket had very unusual clarity of expression of the fruit without coming across as medicinal or tart, and for both the added flavors and the beer style, that just completely blew my mind. Rev X not far off. 99.9% of big, strong, darker beers I've had with fruit flavors added just crashed and burned.

Maybe muddled orange and cherries, in a sweet old fashioned kind of way. I always think of Straight Jacket as being bourbon candy, so leaning toward cocktail ideas fits for me.

That actually sounds like a winner if you can hit the proportions right.

That is true, Revolution's BA program incorporates fruit consistently well into stouts and barleywines, better than just about any other brewery. Some breweries get it right sometimes (e.g., Goose Island and Hailstorm), but Revolution seems to nail it every time.

Google is your friend - info right there on Instagram and Facebook.
But that's cool, lots of generous folks here happy to share info already discussed in this thread.
However, "Riway"? That cannot be forgiven...

Opened my first can of Ryeway to Heaven and it’s pretty much perfect. It’s so dangerously smooth with a dry finish. I can barely put it down before going for another sip. I love the balance of the spice and sweetness.

It’s my favorite of the three DW releases I’ve had so far (Thundertaker, a close second to Ryeway, and SJ).

VIP Orders are up. VIP crowler is Double Barrel Destroyed by the Empire:

This single barrel of Deth's Tar was aged for eighteen months in a Woodford Double Oaked cask before being rebarreled and rested for an additional thirty in a Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel. An outburst of bittersweet chocolate and maple shine for an instant before collapsing beneath the awesome gravity of Bourbon and tannic, cherry-laden American oak. 17.4% ABV (32oz Crowler)

So...aged in barrels for 4 years?! Am I doing my math right here?

YEP - the beer lived there a good long time so the price is $55 to pay the rent!
I'll be sharing mine with neighbor @tiffman so it eases the price burden a bit.

Rev's email asked people politely to not buy again tomorrow:
"Please don't preorder through this email and place a second order through the public sale. Part of the reasoning for limit 1 was to get these beers into as many different hands as possible. We'll be cancelling repeated orders for that reason."

And I loved this info - good stuff:
"Did you know that you're earning Rev Rewards points for each dollar you tip our wonderful Taproom staff? They're bartenders with no bar to tend at the moment, so your gratuities are incredibly appreciated and go entirely to the people safely bringing you your beers. It's the first suggested item at the bottom of each product page!

Anyone else having trouble getting through? I've tried multiple times. The link is being glitchy. I got through and purchased and I'm getting the "Buggers, there's multiple transactions" message. No confirmation email, no charge. Starting to get nervous...

    EDIT: JK. Finally got through.

Are you clicking the link directly from the email on mobile? It was glitchy for me too, and I had to switch to desktop.

However, they are answering emails quickly this morning, as I messed up my pickup time and they were able to quickly fix it.
