Grabbed 2 bottles at Brooklyn Park Hy-Vee. Maybe I'll like it better than the last time I tried it.....?

Haha reminds me of the guy who owns Thomas Liquors in St Paul. I used to live like 10 houses away from it and he could tell I wasnt a "tommie" so he would be kind of a douche to me. One time I just came back from Germany and the next morning being jetlagged, I went in and asked for some rare Paulaner something and I mispronounced it cuz I was still zoned out and he was all loud saying "Paul-what?"

Another time I went in asking for Leinekugels Sunset Wheat and he replied all loud again so everyone would look at me "Sunset wheat, do they even make that anymore?" but I got revenge this time because I took the tour the week before and I replied all loud back "well it was at the brewery last week when I took the tour", he suddenly got off his high horse. Haha

Thomas Liquors is a great liquor store with excellent employees. I've been in there dozens of times & not only never had an issue, but they've gone out of their way to dig things up for me a couple of times. Love that place.

Saw Steel Toe size 11 in 12 oz cans today. Haven’t had that beer in years, but will probably pick up some up this week. The bombers were never the right format for that beer.

Not sure if people here still chase Other Half, but Edina Liquors by southdale had about 4-5 different OH 4 packs, including a 4.7% session IPA. I didn't pick it up, but the concept alone of a sub 5% OH IPA was wild to me. They also had DDH Blissful Ignorance and fresh Barrel Theory crowlers. I hadn't been into an Edina Liquors in a year, but the beer selection impressed me.

Did you see canning dates on the OH beers?

Top Value Liquor on Central in Columbia Heights just south of 694 apparently decided to blow out some bottles they'd been hoarding for a while. I can't say I noticed everything they have out on shelves, but what I did notice (apologies for the focus on stouts - I sort of gloss over most other things): various Bourbon County varieties and years, Abraxas vanilla and coffee (not sure of the year), 2019 Parabola, various Founders barrel-aged beers from the last few years, and a decent amount of Prairie singles. I suspect I'm missing some, but I thought the Abraxas varieties alone were worth calling out.

Not true man but OK. You all can hate on me. After dealing with years of undiagnosed depression, I am working on it every day. I do the best I can with what I got. I do appreciate all of you and maybe haven't always been the best at showing it but I do. BTW, I love Junkyard beer and I have no information that any other brewer took over. If you wanna chat some more about this at all feel free to stop by the store or email me at [email protected].

What were the prices? Went to their taproom a few years ago and it was overpriced there. Definitely make some great beer though.

$22 to $27 per 4 pack, so pretty steep. I too have been to the taproom but was underwhelmed. Feels like they make the same hazy IPA in 100 different ways. Hard to justify the price for me

Wow. That's ridiculous. They definitely are Blackstack like in that they tweak a bunch of hazys. I definitely enjoyed the beers I had there. Though I had a better experience and maybe better beers at Grimm's.

I found it and several other large bottles of Surly in Brooklyn Park at Cellars Wines & Spirits. Not that great of a liquor store with partly empty coolers. Still in the cooler they had a lot of Surly beers. More than I have ever seen anywhere else. Probably a local thing since Surly is not that far away.
