What beer are you drinking now? #3016

Is it worth a 3hr drive to Portland and Back?

 

I need to try a Grisette. A local Georgia brewery makes one every year, but I've been hesitant to try it because it's pricey and big bottle. One of these days I need to roll the dice. Cheers!

 

Zundert is a Dutch Trappist beer (the 8 is also rather nice). The Trappist monks at Zundert switched to brewing relativly recently. They had some help from their experienced brothers from La Trappe. But Zundert beer devinitly has its own taste.

Essentially, "Grisette" is just the nonconformist way of saying low ABV Saison, so a big bottle shouldn't be too difficult to tackle

 

Standard & Pours an Imperial Stout from Bull n Bear Brewery. This is a plain jane Imperial Stout and a fine one. Another outstanding brew from a new brewery.

 

Good point. I need fellow BA'ers to keep me focused. What was I thinking!?!

 

Right! I also didn't want to end up with a drain pour. It's funny, the first few times I had a Saison, I was lukewarm on them. But they have started to grow on me.

 

Ran some errands and grabbed a late breakfast while doing so. Then did some chores around woemad world headquarters. Now, I'm giving myself a little reward for my productivity.

Digging this. A lot of flavor packed into a fairly small package in terms of the alcohol content.

 

I saw it when Lone Pine first showed up here, but not since.

Second beer of the day is Stille Nacht. Only the second time I’ve had this and I consider it outstanding.

Blue Rodeo is one of the best bands ever from Canada and they are revered up here. I’ve posted a couple of their songs, but always with Jim Cuddy on vocals. This is Greg Keeler, the other singer/songwriter in the band. Cheers. ha

Happy Friday everyone! Getting things started here with a recent Trillium Mettle Alloy. Pretty nice, almost a touch of booze, some dank bitterness, pithy citrus, exotic tropical fruits, I think I'm sensing a little Vic Secret in here, some peppery CTZ spice, maybe Citra or Galaxy, pale bready caramelized malt. Cheers all!

Thanks! That's quite a compliment. It's crazy, I have a nice Canon digital camera I like taking pics with; but shot this one with my LG phone. I am still amazed at how good the cameras are on phones.
