I mean, this is definitely not crazy. If 4th anniversary lets me down I might have to just stick with D96 and Tired Hands, depending on proximity, which is a shame. I'm not as fatalistic, but for me to drive into NYC and pay those tolls, I would hope for the beer to be more consistent. Probably just rely on this board and stick with core beers every so often honestly. Collabs etc don't excite me anymore since those I've had in recent memory are way too bland and samey.

On a positive note, my wife sent me a pic of a menu for single cans at OH Domino from earlier today. That’s kind of nice that you can buy singles, especially when buying four packs aren’t so fun lately.

At a time I would’ve said OH, Trillium, and Monkish were close to equal in terms of quality but things have changed for the first two. To me this is why Monkish is still the best Ipa producer in the world. Having visited them early last year, they are tiny, still in the same footprint (I think) as when they first opened. No scaling issues, no cutting quality to save money to make up for opening a new location. They know their system and they are amazingly consistent.

Can’t hate on OH for growing their business but saying it’s negatively affected the product is an accurate statement in my opinion.

OH beers are bad. Anything or anyone that says otherwise is fake news. You’ve got Soros to thank. Stand by for my next message.

I'm no cicerone, but I've been liking the beers from the first collab week. I still have to try the beers from "Freak Week." The haze bros on Facebook and Instagram have me worried.

The Burial and Green Cheek are okay. Other than that, it’s not good.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I’m not a professional or even casual beer reviewer, but I know what I like. And these darkish, opaque, turgid beers are not it.

Ha, the only 2 I've had are I Used to be an Athlete and Daydreams and Fashion Shows. People seem happy with Athlete. DaFS is fine but it's also still really green. I almost entirely avoid triples and I'm holding out for anniversary beers. Haven't we (thread posters) always agreed that collabs are kind of a gimmick and the beer needs a couple weeks to develop? Also I'm really digging the OH DC stuff.

I hear people on the melon. I get that some people might not enjoy that flavor and might be annoyed by how different ACE w/ melon profile is than regular ACE. With that said, it seems here to stay for a while and some people (myself included) enjoy it. Anybody that's ever said, "Dream Power batch 1 was amazing!!!" is talking about that melon note. Melon haters stand down, I'll let you know when it's gone!

It's way cooler to be over Other Half though; Finback is so niche.

No it’s exactly what I meant. See below. Swollen, bloated, excessive. Just too much.

    Definition of turgid

1: excessively embellished in style or language : BOMBASTIC, POMPOUSturgid prose
2: being in a state of distension : SWOLLEN, TUMIDturgid limbs

Surely you meant Green Power my good sir. We don’t talk about ‘tosed beer in that positive tone around here.

Stick around long enough and you’ll learn not to take most of what I post seriously.

@algebeeric_topology, still owe you my prediction post. Remind me next weekend.

Shit, I didn't know turgid was a word. It's kind of weird two fairly uncommon words that differ by a letter both seem to apply here.

Also you're going to have to get extra creative as we're about to see a red ale out of domino park... unless of course it's hdhc red ale with strawberry juice and marshmallow.
