I'll just leave this here while I run out to Wayfinder. @vurt , @John_M ,@jason_nwx. @derftron , I'm going to drink it all before you get back from Hawaii.

    LINEAR ASHES - RAUCHBIER SPEZIAL
We collaborated with one of our favorite breweries, Structures Brewing, to make a fancy Rauchbier Spezial we are calling Linear Ashes. This luxurious smoked lager is full bodied, herbal and drying with a big dose of Beechwood smoke. Rauchbier Spezial is a celebration of Bamberg beer.
    (ABV 5.5%)

This is exciting, but I'm a little sad that new Upright location is further from me. However, a planned expansion is hopefully a sign that the bottom falling out of the draft market, which was most of their output IIRC, hasn't inflicted irreparable harm. This is also true for the other folks expanding, but Upright was my big worry.

Very excited for more Upright! Might just be enough to lure me up into the city once things are looking better.

Looks like Porter Brewing is still on track to open a Bend location later this year, as well.

Belmont Station has a couple beers from New Spring Brewing, which is the brewer from Flat Tail's new thing.

Just saw (via Day One PDX's Instagram) that Bow & Arrow beers are landing in OR this week. Definitely check 'em out, that brewery rules. h/t to @sharpski for the heads up!

Interesting line-up. I don't suppose they can pastry slayer or darkest year.

What beers have you had from them that you've liked?

Pretty much all of their Brett/wild stuff is very good, as are their lagers. Haven't had any of the stouts or IPAs, but I've heard good things. Among the stuff Day One is bringing in, I really like Cosmic Arrow, Desert Revival, and Denim Tux.

Looks like Darkest Year is available in cans (only $22!), but it's a taproom exclusive. I don't see the Darkest Year can in the lineup on Day One's Instagram post.

I do, however, see Desert Revival (fruited sour, bottled), Through The Desert on a Horse With No Name (hazy IPA), Denim Tux (pilsner), Buffalo Plaid (baltic porter), Sunbloom Saison (with prickly pear and juniper berries), and Scenic West (hazy IPA).

I'm having a Bow & Arrow Sunbloom Saison that I picked up at ABV Public House earlier this afternoon. It's tasty. Plenty of prickly pear aroma and flavor, which works nicely with the yeast. I do wish it had more of the juniper berries it mentions on the label.

Making some beef cheek enchiladas and putting this away. It is so damn good. Bale Breaker doesn't get enough love.

I picked up one of those today, and am looking forward to cracking it open tonight. Bale Breaker beers are always welcome in the rotation here at stately Vurt Manor. Mrs. vurt is a fan, and so am I.

Also: bonus points for the enchiladas.

It's a Boneyard RPM night while reflecting back on my time in Missoula last Autumn where Sabro ruled, and watching this for the first time. Mentions his drive from Vancouver to Tri-Cities to Missoula.

Hey fellow Beaverton people: Not only is Breakside opening up a spot right behind Ex Novo, but on the corner of Watson and Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway (next door to Big's Chicken and across the street from Ex Novo) in that old dance studio Loyal Legion is putting in a second location. Should be open by the 4th of July. (That's all I know based on the OregonLive headline - I don't have fancy subscriber access.)

That's great news. By summer you could put together a couple nice pub crawls in that area. Can't wait!
