Other Half (2021)

Can you guys please reference IMUs (international melon units) so we get some standardized reference points in these posts?

 

Am I the only one that isn’t quite sure what this overwhelming melon note in OH beers actually tastes like? I’ve had several recent releases and have never said “that’s melon alright” like apparently so many others have. I’m starting to feel like there may be something seriously wrong with my taste buds

 

I’m not one to put my tin hat on but all of the OG BA Bananaversary ratings getting rolled into the 2021 release on Untappd is a bit fishy, no?

 

I guess you can get sold out online just like its in line releases even if after getting confirmation you made the purchase.

I placed an online order for a case of IPAs at 10:15am this morning. I get an email that my order is ready for pickup at 2:30pm but it's missing intern backpack and triple juicy diamonds on the list. When I picked them up later this evening they mentioned they canceled those due to mismanaging inventory.

Reminds me of the days in line when we were given wristbands thinking we're golden but they weren't checking wristbands of line cutters so when I got to the front they were sold out. I was hoping those days would finally be behind me...

 

That sucks. I’ve got a can of Intern Backpack if you want to give it a try.

 

Thank you for the kind offer but don't want to impose. Just let me know was it worth getting? Or did it fall on the wayside with the other melon bombs and bland batches?

Not melon. I got more citrus and tropical hops with a bit of herbal/earthiness.
No problem if you’d like 1 and can get close to park slope.

 

I would love if "melon" was the worst characteristic in the NEIPAs I've drank lately. Green vegetal hop character and hop burn have been more the norm for me than expressive fruity hop or yeast character.

 

I haven't lately.

missed yesterday, just snagged one

 

I was entertaining the idea of a mix-12 Anny shipped (especially for free) but it’s out of stock within 10 minutes. Not too surprising.

 

Yeah that was a no brainer, I was surprised I was able to get it.

How are 5th and 6th anni? 6th last year was awesome.

 

I wouldn’t know. I’m not sure if I’ve had one since 3rd.

 

intrigued to try this one now. +1 to the 7th IPA praise. Just cracked one a little earlier and I am loving it. My fav OH I’ve had in some time! Cheers to 7 Years!
