Why is complaining about Evil Twin's prices the new thing to do around here?

Because overall the beer isn't good aside from a few stouts and its grossly priced.

Actually, my rage spawned from his accusations that Tired Hands is copying one of his recipes...

He doesn't sound like much of a brewer, period if those are quotes from Jeppe.

Way to expensive. Will never buy another beer from them.

Gotta trust the market. if he's truly overpriced, there will be an adjustment or he'll go out of business.

Jeppe said it in the other thread and I will say it here- Jeppe does not really control what his beer sells for on shelves. Their importer can sell it to the distributor for whatever they want. Then the distributor can mark it up as much as they want, and retailers can mark it up as much as they want. So if Jeppe sells a bottle of something for $1 to the importer, they will probably sell it to the distributor for about $1.60. Then the distributor will sell it for about $2.5. Then the store will sell it for about $3.40.

This could be off by 5-10% depending on the distributors and importers, but it is a pretty fair estimate. Producers like Mikkeller and Evil Twin cannot really control their retail (or even wholesale pricing) at all.

The US market does pay that. Hipster flies off the shelves here.

What was the price point? It's $16 here in Chicago, but in northern IL I found packs for $10.

It does pay that. Why not start a thread about HotD Ruth, in that case?

Just shut up. Evil Twin is worth it and we all know so. Complain about something worth bickering over.

Everyone please follow Evil Twin on Twitter. Jeppe says that if he gets 5000 followers he's going to barrel age a batch of Imperial Biscotti Break.

If you like Hipster ale, there is a very good chance that you haven't had very many good pale ales.. and I'm not saying that to talk down to you or to be an ass. Especially at that price point... Yowza! You can get a six of expedition stout for the same price!

$100 a bottle! News flash, he's already barrel aging a batch of imperial biscotti break... You're not aware of how social media works, are you?

Vav broke his some of his 6 packs because they aren't selling. I bought a single for $2.50 just to see how it was. Solid, fairly dry APA. Worth $16+ for a sixer? Absolutely not.

It's actually fairly solid if you like drier and lighter APA's. See my post above in regard to the price point.
