Loving it. I always liked The Remains of the Day, but this is fantastic. Have about 100 pages left, might be able to finish it tonight if I get really inspired. Which might happen

I'm having a Southern Tier Ruby Red 8 Days a Week. It's sweet & has plenty of grapefruit on the nose and on the palate. A bit of a one-trick pony, but it's a decent enough trick. I rated it at 3.73, just a hair above it's BA average of 3.68.

 

I honestly don’t think I had heard that one before. I’ve got a lot to learn. I really dig it. Thanks for sharing my man.

Just got into Chicago and helped my wife try to parallel park for five minutes. Told her to get out of the car and did it in thirty seconds.

Oxbow Brewing - Grand Royal Helles Lager

Clean and refreshing. Good amount of body to it. Oxbow makes a damn good beer.

It’s just starting to snow in Brooklyn. Ran my errands earlier, so now it’s time for Maxim Gorky, Bach trios, and this dark lager.

 

I guess I'm taking liberties with this thread, because really it's "what beers are you drinking now?"

Overall...I can't pick a favorite, they're all similar variations on a theme. I would guess green dot is the youngest and yellow dot the oldest, mostly based on yellow seeming to have the edges rounded off the most and green the least. I'm not even going to hazard a guess as to what the vintages actually are, because I think it's more me trying to predict what my wife would pick than analyzing what's in the glass.
And the reveal:

Blue dot = 2014
Yellow dot = 2020
Green dot = 2016
My conclusion was totally wrong. I noticed the oxidation in blue dot, but ignored it.
Now I'll be drinking the remainder of these beers for a minute...cheers, all!

Got the snowblower gassed up and ready to go for the Nor'Easter they're talking about coming our way.

 

Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA (Chinook, Simcoe, Amarillo). The hop bitterness on this one brings me back to the old days before the NEIPA style when breweries just tried to pack as many IBU’s as possible into their hoppy beers. Nostalgic for sure. Tasty too.
