Fair enough, there have been some issues with undercarb, with the Monkish Freaky Friday being the worst offender. I wouldn't say that beer was horrible, but it definitely wasn't good. All the stuff I had recently has been good with no carb issues.

I have heard really good things about Long Live, but have never tried. I hope to make it there some day soon!

Relating to the quantity mentioned above, I think it's a good thing. Their beers usually are available for a week plus which is great (even though Citra Cutting Tiles sold out in 2 days) which I appreciate.

I absolutely cannot stand Tree House's business model through the pandemic, I understand why they have to do it, but it's no less annoying and I've been once and haven't gone back after getting slipped month old cans into my mandatory case order. Plus the beers there aren't as good anymore (minus Force of Will which is awesome). As for Other Half, not sure if it's quantity or what, but their quality has taken a bit of a dip in recent months in my opinion, a sentiment shared by others as well as evidenced by their thread.

A couple of big OH shipments hit RI in 2020. The first drop in April was very impressive, the one a couple months ago was a little disappointing. Completely different beers for each drop, I wonder if the beers themselves weren't their best, or if there was a quality issue. Makes me wonder if I should go out of my way for their stuff again.

Interesting comments on Tree House. I've never been on board the TH hype train, but I've enjoyed what I've had. Just don't think I need to prioritize going there with the great options here in RI.

Totally agree on OH. I had some in March '20 and it was amazing, just as good as I remember. I had various cans from November and December and some were borderline drain pours, which was stunk.

As for Tree House, I know they're not hurting for not having my business, but I would appreciate more transparency and/or ability to mix and match your own case. Again I understand why they do it, because it would take forever if not, but still!

I just did a quick count and Tree House has 23 4pks, 8 mixed cases and 3 solo cases on for sale on their website right now. Are you upset about not being able to buy singles? There seems to be some quality options if you want to put your own case together

To be honest, I haven't even been on the website in months so perhaps I'll check it out again. Thanks for the heads up!

That is a relatively new development in the last few weeks with so many 4 pks being available, as that hasn't been the case for most of the pandemic.

Maybe so, but the numbers I gave are current so the mixed case gripe is now mute

Not sure if they appeal to you, but I've enjoyed the large number of imperial stouts that Tree House has in stock these days, most of which are single bottles (occasional exceptions like Space & Time 4-packs) and aren't impacted by age quite to the extent IPAs are. Made a very successful stout run the other weekend, and snuck in a 4-pack of Juice Project since I knew from Twitter that it was fresh (tasty too).

This thread seems unusually dead. Anyone have the La Rien a Nuit yet?

Had it last night, it was quite good (4 out of 5 for me).

I haven't bought a Trillium stout for a while now but I think this is going to be the one to break that streak. I liked this so much the first time around I got (2) 32oz growlers filled after my bottles were gone

I really hope they followed the old process and don't just go with their current one that produces thin cola stouts

I'm guessing this time around I'll be able to buy one bottle and try it without worrying whether it'll sell out or not

Was in that same boat until Brad Clark got involved, so capitalized on Crates but slept on all else...good luck

i know Sprang isnt new, but i didnt realize it's supposed to be a kolsch. I've never seen a kolsch look like orange juice before.

“kölsch inspired”...but dry hopped at normal levels (tongue in cheek)

People don't want to look into a beer and see through it to the bleak reality that is our world. Everything needs to be hazy.

The first batch of Sprang was amazing. They’ve wandered pretty far since.

Sprang is even listed as a Pale Ale on Untappd. I had a few different Kolsches last year in a comparison to get into the style and I was very disappointed I included Sprang.

All Kolsches are supposed to be labeled as Kolsch-Inspired or Kolsch-Style since only true Kolsch can be made in Cologne.

I was more poking fun at it relative to gclaw’s comment regarding the beer’s appearance. It’s their creative take on it. I’d imagine the few you tried didn’t appear as theirs does.
