I thought it was a phenomenal beer. With Rev having so many home runs this years, the doubles and triples are just getting pushed further down.

    Here's my super subjective list.
    1. Supermassive (possibly my favorite coffee stout ever made)
    2. Thundertaker (a very close 2nd)
    3. Cafe Deth (still a sucker for coffee stouts)
    4. Deth by Cherries (one of the best fruited BA stouts I've had)
    5. Straight Jacket (always great, would be higher if DbC wasn't so fantastic)
    6. Mindshaft (this batch really surprised me this year, became one of my favorites of this DW season)
    7. Deth's Tar (I was surprised this fell in the middle of my list, but its hard to move it up any further)
    8. DBVSOD (excellent, but a bit on the "hot" side for my preference)
    9. On & On Pt 1 (have only had one can, so its possible this moves up over time)
    10. Mixed Berry Ryeway (I loved this one at first, but after a couple of months I thought it started to take on a more medicinal taste)
    11. AB Ryeway
    12. Ryeway (I loved some previous batches, but this one is a bit too spicy and hot for me)
    13. Maple Deth
    14. Honey Jacket

I was inspired by Doug’s wrestling theme to make this glass. It’s stupid and will undoubtedly get me in a moderate amount of trouble if Vince somehow saw them, but I now have 48 of these beauts.

Granted I haven't tried the majority of the releases, but Deth by Cherries was one of the better fruited stouts I've had in years. And Mineshaft Gap is literally a perfect beer in my eyes.

For sure - I just love them all this year! Super beers, great format, easy to get - can't ask for much more than that!?!
As for Deth by Cherries, I typically do not like fruited stouts, but this is one of the best I've had. As for rankings, mine continues to fluctuate a bit - they're just all so solid. I would love to open up several cans and do a tasting. COVID SUCKS!

@BeerCruncher - has Rev explored 8oz formats for deep woods?

Pour two cans into three 8 oz glasses? Problem solved.

Even if they had, it wouldn't matter since the 8 oz cans aren't being made anymore (at least for the foreseeable future). Although, I guess you could do the small bottles like Off Color ...

I am not a proponent of 8oz cans. Beer packaging is expensive and changing from the common 12oz can to the hyper specialty 8oz can is going to cost the same, if not more. That means that customers aren't going to get the price break that they're looking for by getting 1/3 less beer. We also wouldn't want to be dependent on a format that's so obscure and as we're seeing now, supply could dry up out of nowhere. I'm also a big fan of can design, artwork, and storytelling, and 8oz cans leave little space to have fun. Lastly, I am pretty confident that if you polled all of our Deep Wood customers, a majority would prefer we stick to 12oz vs going to 8oz.

Hey @BeerCruncher when is that new will becher glass going to hit the shop? Also, I'm digging that new freedom series glass.

Amen. I'm fairly vocal about preferred formats and let's just stick with 12oz formats. It has been the preferred format for how many decades? It's time tested and approved. I hate anything over 12oz up to 22oz so damn those 16.9 and 16oz'ers.

I'm still convinced 4 packs of 16oz cans was a way to charge the same for less product.

I tend to avoid anything in 12 oz. cans, just too small a format when three sips and it is done. However, it definitely works for Deep Woods with the high ABV. I am in the minority in that I miss the bombers of DIPA's. I could spend $10 to try a beer instead of having to buy a 4 pack for $16.

Please, enough with the 8 oz. cans, it is like having a taster glass at that point. If you can't finish a 12oz. 15% beer, maybe the wrong hobby for you
