Having a bottle of Banana Running Club sans almonds. I get the chocolate-covered bananas. There are some good coffee notes too. My analogy: washing down some chocolate banana bread with some strong black coffee. Tastes great in the new banana glass.

Looking forward to trying my bottle con almonds.

the 7th anni is great. Just a tad more than the perfect amount of sweetness for a triple, which is a nice combo with the very present Riwaka taste and nose. That hop always seems to be overpowering no matter what else is mixed in, but it really works here.

Cracked a 4th is Dead last night. Very good, but I feel like its not exactly like the OG was. I haven't had a 7th since I cracked one on Sat, but i want to say I liked 7th better than the FLX 4th, but will have to see once I have another 7th.

FYI if the new batch of tomato factory makes it up to BK, that's my favorite brew out of DC so far

I like DIPAs with richer and meatier food like a burger or barbeque.

Pizza is greasy, but it's usually a bit lighter so I prefer to pair with a lower abv pale or a lager.

IMO of course. I've seen your IG, so you probably know better than I do.

Tried 4th and 7th last night. Preferred 7th slightly over 4th as it was a bit smoother and less sweet. Both excellent renditions nonetheless.

I was with this man and I concur, 7th over 4th but its slim margins and I wouldn't be upset to drink either one again.

We also split ACE (terrific, obviously), Wave Frequency (only ok, it was lacking in body), and Hop Showers (paired nicely with some Theo's 85% Dark Chocolate).

I think it's all a matter of personal preference, but I don't really like having food or at least a meal with my NEIPAs because I think the flavors can clash. Additionally, if I am paying $4-5+ for a can, I want to be able to taste that beer unadulterated by a meal.

Small Citra Everything w/ Phantasm is awesome, barely notice a difference compared to ACE

I’ve finally had my first wild Thai banana experience with the almond banana running club stout. Did you guys know that Thai bananas make great house or patio plants? They’re also wind and disease resistant.

think they could’ve laid off the milk sugar on this one, as the banana sugar is more than enough! I may have adult onset diabetes by the time I’m done with this one, but I’m not sure that gonna stop me from finishing this.

Drinking 4th is Dead now - very good but not at that typical 4th Anniversary quality. Think I slightly prefer 7th to it. My Anniversary IPA ordering would go:

    4th Anniversary > 7th > 4th is Dead > 3rd > 5=6 > 2nd

Never had the first Anniversary beer.

Also had BA Bananaversary last night, which was also very good, but really no need to ever wait in line up for that beer again. It's pretty comparable to Evil Twin's Northern Series 6 which is somehow still available.
