Highly recommend. La Fin du Monde is their best known brew, and it's a very good beer. My favorite by far is their red ale, Maudite, which gets a 100 rating from the bros for good reason. It has a complex but delicious combination of spices, malt, fruit, and several other flavors. It became my go-to beer late in college and has stayed among my favorites for years since. They have a good variety among their beers, so try several and see which you prefer.

I don't think there's much out there that's as bad as Asylum.

La Fin Du Monde is definitely one of my favorite Belgian styles. They can do no wrong in my eyes.

Solid brewery, honestly can't think of anything I've tried of theirs that I didn't like. Maudite gets me every time

Love the majority of their beers. Eau Benite was a slight letdown, but everything else has been good to great. I think a lot of people knock them for being more widespread and cheaper in price vs. bigger Belgian names, but that's like saying Goose island sucks because of their owners. Unibroue is a solid brewery for me and always one to drink, no matter what it is. Got plenty of their stuff in my cellar now.

Wonderful lineup, and sadly, the reason I don't buy it more often is probably influenced partially by the fact that I can.

Love your Gromit avatar. Haven't seen a Wallace and Gromit cartoon in quite a while and miss them.

This. I personally like their beer but at first taste, like my brother says, "they all taste the same". Not a bad thing IMO

Good beers but the yeast makes some of their beers taste quite alike.

I really like their use of dark sugars and I love their yeast profile. Not so much a fan of their use of coriander and spices in general. But, yeah, great brewery.

La fin du monde is one of those beers that can really turn someone on to more flavorful beer. Trois pistoles is also spellbinding.

One of my favorite breweries when I was first getting into good beer 5 years or so ago. Now sadly no longer available in Australia. Shining examples of Belgian styles across the board.

My favorite uncle turned me onto their stuff with a holiday gift pack last year, and all four bottles were amazing, with Fin du Monde topping the others, but, really, you couldn't go wring with the other three. Don de Dieu, Maudite and... I forget the last one.

Fin du Monde is one of the three beers I try to entice beer newbies into the craft world with, and so far it's worked every time.

I like La Fin du Monde, Trois Pistoles, La Terrible was pretty good......tried Grand Reserve 17 at a local beer tasting. I thought it was rather smooth for the abv and I have a bottle aging right now. Have tried the others mentioned (including the Trader Joe limited editions), and I think all their beers are of good quality. They're not all my favorites, but they are all quality beers.

I also like Belgian beers, but I do not consider these cheap copies.....I personally don't care where a beer is made or need to be impressed by it's pedigree.....if it tastes good I like it.....simple as that!! :grinning:

I was the same way, not really sure why.

Then i tried Don De Dieu.

After that i had to try them all and they're now one of my favorite breweries. Give em a shot, you wont regret it.

Holy crap - just looked at your reviews and out of the 10 beers you've scored a perfect 5, three of them are by Unibroue. You really like that brewery, eh?
