Jack's Abby (2021)

Looks good, but kinda weird timing. Sounds like a fall beer.

Recently discovered Jack's Abby (not sure how I missed them, being from MA) and have a question on the typical availability of regular Framinghammer. While released in Nov/Dec, does it tend to remain available throughout the year or is it something I should stock up on soon and keep them in the back of the fridge? Any expected differences in availability with (I'm assuming) all production going to cans this year?

 

The original Framinghammer is one of my favorite dark beers. I tend to buy a case to stash throughout the year. They only make so much of it and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

 

Pretty sure I saw them in NH at the weekend.

 

Saw my first 4pks just now.

Corner store used to have 6pks of house lager for $11. Now it’s a $9 4pk.

 

Framinghammer is on sale at the brewery for $10 a four pack at the moment. It probably means the end of the season.

 

Thanks for the heads up. @JacksAbbyBrewing can you confirm if this is the end of the 2020 release of Framinghammer or are you just having a sale?

 

We should have inventory at the brewery for a few more weeks.

Sunny Ridge is out, oh joyous day!

 

I'm an unabashed House Lager fan-boy and like all their lagers, but I can't remember how Sunny Ridge differs from Post Shift. Will have to do a side-by-side I suppose.

 

It's tough work, but I trust you'll get it done.

Not Jack's Abby, but I tried Kölsch Monday for the first time this weekend. Really damn good, hits those white wine/grape notes really well.

 

The new Czech style ležák, co pilot Mansfield, is drinking great. I’m wishing I grabbed more than a four pack. Honestly might be my new favorite from jacks abby, I hope they put it into regular rotation.

 

I believe they are working with just one wooden vessel for this project so for the time being these will likely be beer hall only. Hopefully they catch on enough that it warrants adding more wooden vessels and increasing production.

 

If that’s the case I guess I’ll be making the trip to jacks abby even more often.

 

Getting the feeling Pride & Parquet isn't making it to Upstate NY? Still none showing up within 100 miles on the beer finder. I swear I know more Celtics fans than Knicks fans outside of the city!
