    Well, my morning coffee got postponed until the afternoon. Perennial Sump in cans...

    Spent oil drips from the can before brown bubbles ooze from the glass. Little bite in the dark roast coffee and barley. Little tang to the thick, chocolate and coffee concoction. Quite tasty, enjoying it like I have in the past.

    Freezing cold, city shut down cause of ice and snow, can't do much work from home right now. That means give up its beer time.

    Up at the plate now is Moon Rambler IPA from Founders. It's hoppy with orange, lemon and tropical aromas & flavors. A really nice beer from an excellent brewery.

    I love hot dogs. It’s sickening. I ate all sick but got nauseous lmao. They were black angus hot dogs. I love Nathan’s but eating 75? Six did me in. On a good day like Fourth of July I can probably eat 2 dozen. Those professionals are nuts.

    I'm drinking a year old Raspberry Chocolate Gateau imperial stout with raspberry and chocolate from Trillium today. Really nice balance, fresh juicy raspberry flavor, rich chocolate, not too sweet or tart, some chocolate cake notes with raspberry filling, creamy ganache, cocoa powder, pretty delicious. Cheers everyone!

    Partially cloudy, peach yellow body; dense and lively carbonation; thick, rocky head, sticky and white; patchy rings and patches of foam stick to the glass. Fine citrus and tropical fruit aroma; orange and pineapple. Light tropical fruit taste with a dusting of powdered sugar; light cereal grain base, biscuit-like; mild hop bitterness. Medium-light body; crisp with a mild citrus tanginess.

    This beer exudes a rather unique quality overall. It uses some classic adjuncts used in American adjunct lagers, some more modern hop varieties, plus lime. And it all comes together nicely. It delivers a unique balance and complexity to the palate, drinks easily, and comes across pleasantly and very satisfying. It is a lovely little beer.

    This was my favorite beer at Crooked Stave when I visited a few years ago. So the Mrs surprised me with a can for Valentine’s Day! A delicious gift and wonderful afternoon as we do a puzzle and listen to Art Blakey.

    Happy President's Day! I am old enough to remember when Washington (Feb 12) and Lincoln's (Feb 22) Birthday were both Federal holidays, but President's Day is essentially now linked to Washington's Birthday.
