Ha! So I'm not misremembering, I just have an issue with comprehension!

All LIFs must eventually come to an end. Only three options left. A few of you still haven't made your second guess. If the correct item hasn't been guessed by 6:00 p.m. ET today, I'll use a randomizer to pick a winner from among those who guessed, and we can finally put this LIF out of its misery.

We finally have a winner! In hindsight, my initial list should have been shortened, but I never thought you would all go 0 for your first 25 guesses! Swoop does not sit in my office. He spends most of his time in my daughter's room at college, but is currently elsewhere in our house. I suck at giving hints in the hints and hauls thread, but apparently I'm pretty good at understanding the psychology of how you all would guess (I assumed people would guess the random items like 3x5 cards and ignore the items like anything Philly sports related).

Congrats on the win. I have your address, and unless you have moved in the last year, will send out a box in the next few days. Up to you as to whether you want to kick off a new LIF.

Yes sir, no recent change in residence. So now I shall concoct a similarly devious LIF (extremely high bar here!) details soon, just need to check some things with my attorney first.

Oh, sure, the Swoop plush. Probably the last thing I would have guessed. Now I have to worry if he will (send beer to Whyteboar) use his mind trickery on us in other ways, like subliminal messaging (send beer to Whyteboar) or other methods I can't even imagine (send beer to Whyteboar) but will remain vigilant for such trickery!

 

I’m mega baked right now, I read most of it. I’ll re-read it again toward the end my attention span got spaced. But yeah so far sounds cool

I think I'm in. What is "You must be willing to be active in the Hints and Hauls thread."

 

You must post hints to your target in the thread when it comes live.

From the first post:
"*Participation. You must be willing to be active in the Hints and Hauls thread. "Active" is defined as posting at least two hints each week until your target correctly guesses your identity. (If you anticipate being unavailable for work or something similar, please just let us know so that we aren't surprised). Additional posting and guessing is encouraged, as well. The most fun of this entire BIF is typically the back-and-forth in the H&H thread, and senders who aren't dropping hints and engaging in the fun diminishes the enjoyment for everyone else - but especially for their target. Please don't be that guy or gal that leaves your target without any interaction; it's no fun."

 

It is the best part of this BIF. Trying to guess who your sender is and coming up with hints for your target that make guessing a challenge. Some of these men and woman put an incredible amount of effort into it. It is loads of fun. Better than the beer.

 

I'm new to all of this, someone told me I'd be a good person to join this (MattOC) because I trade a lot and do blind trades and sent me a link and got to here.

You may not grasp the level of sheer fun involved in one of these things, plus the opportunity to learn new acronyms, watching as salvos of beer crisscross the country in a 'friendly' attempt to destroy front porches.
