Anyone catch the KTLA segment on Smog? Really great to see them getting that kind of press.

Smog is often an under the radar brewery that produce some really great beers. Yes, I'm calling out Bourbon OE and Infinite Wishes, but by no means limiting it to that.

They are certainly a notable LA brewery, worthy of a 2021 thread.

No, darn it I didn't see that segment. Maybe it's online and I can catch it there. Yup they're a solid brewery, like you said, good to see them get some recognition.

It’s about time... they usually release these guys in mid January. I really hope they don’t make people wait in line for the variants

I'm going to miss standing in line this year, assuming they do a lineup.
I'd be perfectly happy to order online like the the brown paper ticket days.

Just announced the variants for IW.
Red Wine (which they've done, but I don't think was bottled)
    Mocha (which they've done)
Vanilla & Coconut (which I'll max out on)
    Peanut Butter Cup

The Red Wine sounds like one I'd get a taster of and skip bottles of but who knows? Probably awesome. Mocha sounds good and vanilla and coconut are my dark beer cheat-codes, lol, so those sound like no-brainers. Kinda getting sick of PB stouts, but Smog's takes on popular styles like this are usually unique in flavor so I'm eager to try this one, too.

By the way, just drank a 2015 IW a couple nights ago. It was so smooth and easy-drinking; just awesome. Might have to do a 2016 tonight.

Oooh nice. Glad to know the ‘15 still holding up, which bodes well for the ‘16. Please let us know how it is.

Maybe I should crack my last ‘15 open this weekend to celebrate.

Probably do 2 of each, unless it turns into a crash the web site click fest (my tolerrance for this in the middle of my business day has reached near 0) in which case I'll wait until the smoke clears and see what is left.

    I drank a '15 last month. Delicious.
This whole pandemic has shrunk my Smog cellar to hardly anything. Haha.
Me saving up years of Smog for a vertical tasting share have been pretty pointless as the pandemic has shown me. Time to drink what I got.
I drank a '15 BOE the other night and other than a bit under carbed, it was fantastic.

As far as today, I think I'm going for the full allotment on Vanilla Coconut, 1 PB and 1 Mocha.

It would be great if they had some different barrel treatments for O.E. this year.

I had my '16 BOE the night before, lol. Carb was fine on it and it was amazing. I'm drinking down my cellar, too, and loving it.

I had a buddy call Smog yesterday and ask about the Red Wine variant.
They told him a year in bourbon barrels and then a year in wine barrels.
Turns out it is two in wine and no bourbon. Whoopsie...

I got the amounts of each I wanted.
