Totally! Usually there is a circle jerk every time a foeder is brought into a brewing facility.

How the hell does Tree House find the time to open 3 new locations while spending so much time researching different fruits to include in their beer descriptions? Also, I am definitely looking forward to trying some of their fruited wild ales. I really hope there is a coolship somewhere in that barn.

I think they have a large number of employees. That probably helps.

So is everyone thinking that video showed beer? I assumed it was cider. I'm probably a little confused or inexperienced with barrel stuff, but that video was from their fermentory in CT and I thought they were only doing cider there. The bottles are green. Haven't all their other barrel-aged or wild ales been in brown bottles?

Yeah, the red colored one has me intrigued. I can’t imagine it’s a farmstead ale / saison, and like others have said, an orchard is part of that property.

I though the apple trees throughout the video were the dead giveaway.

Is mixing grapes/wine with cider, a thing?

Reverend Nat's out of Portland, Oregon has been doing things with cider that would blow your mind, not just with different fruits outside of apples, but also spices and even blending with other spirits and aging in a wide variety of barrels to make some pretty intense concoctions.

If TH can pull off anything like Foxbic from Mills Brewing in the UK I'd be incredibly happy. It's essentially cider lambic. Absolutely incredible.

Right. And I believe Rev Nat's has some element or level of wild fermentation or something of the sort in some regard as well. And they've at least collab'd with a few breweries that have a lot of experience with spontaneous fermentation, like de Garde. If you can get ahold of it you might like it as well.

I assumed cider. I would like to see what they could come up with going one step further. Barrel aged Apple Brandy is delicious. Pear brandy is pretty delicious too. Eau de Vie!

I also liked #thatglasswasscrubbed in the youtube description.

Tree House Brewing Co. plans to construct a farmer-distillery operation and sell the distilled products at the Sturbridge Road facility.

According to the plans, Tree House will remove approximately 10,819 square feet of the farmer-brewery premises within the existing warehouse building for the distillery operation.

Kimberly Golinski, assistant secretary/business manager at Tree House, addressed the five-member Board of Selectmen Tuesday night, via Zoom.

Dang- so when is the Tree House bud coming? I can't wait to read the descriptions on those.

Hopefully this is the right thread for this question. I live in Iowa but have a friend in Boston who's going to pick me up some treehouse brews tomorrow. Never had anything from TH, but it has a stellar reputation in my state. I love haze and dark strong ales, and not a big fan of fruited or pastry beers. Roughly $100 budget. Gave him this list based off of today's online inventory:

tree of life batch 2 (2 bottles - 1 for now 1 for the cellar)
warmth quad (2 bottles - 1 for now 1 for the cellar)
    JJJuliusss 4 pack
    King Julius 4 pack
    Doubleganger 4 pack
    Very Green 4 pack

Anything you'd recommend swapping, dropping, adding? IDK anything about TH's dark strong ales, I just enjoy the style. They are famous in my area for their haze, and I'm looking for the truest "treehouse experience" in that department.

    Thanks!

That's a great line up you have there. Not a bad choice in the bunch. If anything maybe add some Haze instead of the Julius family double up, but at this point we're just splitting hairs.

@MaltyFlannel Unfortunately they aren't packaging Haze in 4pks, only cases. My suggestion would be to grab a couple bottles of Big Nugget in addition to your list. You did say roughly $100 after all

Only thing I would consider adding would be a bottle of permanence, blew me away first time I tried it on tap and the bottles don’t disappoint, the mouth feel was crazy.
