For what it’s worth though, the environment at the OG tasting room is fantastic!!! :grinning:

    Daniel,

Please don’t take any of that as hate! I’m at the OG tasting room right now and it’s been awesome! I know that there have been a lot of changes related to COVID, and I can tell many are getting the hang of an ever-changing situation, but the mentioned are definitely growth areas, but I’m still so stoked to be here!

Aloha Friday has been my second favorite days of the week beer behind BT.

Mocha Wed, last vintage was great fresh! I'm sure it was due to Mostra roasting and choosing the beans compared to Portola, which had a green pepper taste to it.

I hope they bring back S.H.I.T w/ coffee again, the last batch was in 2018 if I remember correctly. The past years I've been getting my stout w/ coffee fix with HpB BA and non-BA Griffith J Griffith.

I want to jump on here and say things couldn’t be smoother at the DC location. Every time I’m in the staff is well prepared and has my beer ready to go with zero issues. DC doesn’t have a tasting room, so I can’t speak to the service in that area, however if they did I’m sure it would be great.

I want to jump on the 'disappointed by new churriosity' train. It's missing almost all the flavor I was expecting.

I did, however, put half a can in some chili I'm making today and it goes really well in that. Probably going to just end up cooking with the rest of the cans I have.

Oof yeah. Carrying large boxes of beer multiple blocks to your car builds character though! I have been told that it is easier to find spots on Sunday but I haven't gotten a chance to test that theory yet.

I finally got to my last can of 2018 last night. Opened it along with my last can of 2020. I knew they wouldn't compare, but it was just fun to really see the difference side by side.

2018 is still great. But I think the chocolate and vanilla in the middle has faded a bit. I still get a lot of that great cinnamon whiskey up front and the sweetness of the Dulce de Leche on the finish. It's a little thin in the middle. Looking forward to this years batch.

I echo the kudos regarding the DC store. They really do an awesome job there. In and out in a flash and then over to A. Litteri's to pick up a sub/hero.

Also unfortunately echo the brutal parking situation. I've definitely spent too much time driving in circles looking for a space to open up. It'd be awesome if they could open up a tap room in DC to go along with the beer pickup/store.

Portified BT is one of the best ‘beers’ Bruery has done, IMO. Fucking wonderful.

Alright, who wants to explain the "bigger than my head" thing, I just saw they are making that into a shirt, must have been a joke I missed somewhere

Honestly, I was expecting it to be sweeter than it was. I like my port fortified.

Untappd has it listed as stout. Kind of an important thing to list... if it’s the anniv base or something sweet I’m not interested.

Yeah, I thought I'd seen stout somewhere too... But the actual product page is strangely vague on the point.

Sounds like I'm the reverse of you: I've found I don't ever like blueberry in stout. But if it were Ani or wheatwine I might be interested.
