Toppling Goliath (2021)

My SO managed to get a ticket after entering on a whim. I just now reread all the rules, what's the deal with the ticket time slots? If you buy a ticket and show up at the time you selected are you guaranteed your allotment? The wording is pretty cryptic and I've never paid attention to TG lotteries before.

 

Total guess on my understanding... Each time slot is limited to a max amount of ticket holders. Only those who have won the lottery can choose a time slot. If you want a specific time slot then you should book it right now or risk the chance of that slot being booked.

I get why you are confused and I'm in the same boat. Clarification from TG would be nice.

 

They did the same for the KBBS release. Yes you are guaranteed bottles when you show up during your time slot.

 

Awesome thanks for clarifying. It looks like most of Saturday's time slots are gone but Sunday still has a good selection.

 

I personally got a lot of sweet chocolate w B2. Was a good stout but was a bit too sweet for me, with less barrel, and just not as well integrated as B1 imo. They have been chasing the dragon trying to re-create batch one VBA ever since. That beer was as close to perfection as I have ever had.

 

But.... But why is it a double IPA.....?

That must be part of the 'reenvisioning' they mention along with now also having reenvisioned it as a hazy. So it's a new beer with a throwback "for the fans" name? Lol

 

I'm brand new here (don't hurt me), and this hilarious thread seems like a good spot for my first post. After signing up for BA Stout Hawks, I've now entered 22 TG lotteries and haven't won yet. Do I have comically bad luck or do they produce way less of this stuff than I assume they do? I've never seen a bottle count.

 

BA Stout Hawks will be interesting to see what percentage win. This is the first lottery I'm not entering. Too many other good bottles coming out that I don't see the need to spend $170 and drive for most of a day for these 3.

You know that you're just taking someone else's spot who would have gone right? Not sure what the point of entering is if you don't know if you're going to go or not

 

I had every intention to until i saw this thread, now i'm second guessing it
