For 1983, a long password would have been unusual. Most people used the word "password" or "1234" or similar. (Ah, the golden days of hacking!) Were you in finance or something?

Medical field, I managed the NE from Boston into Ny to Philly and eastern PA. with no experience I had to set it up and type in the command to open in dos which was really lots of characters I don’t even remember having a password.

12 games I though 7 combined goals per game sounded right. Some games more some less. But 4-3 games sounds reasonable.

That's what I thought! Please shoot me your shipping info via BM, including specific likes or dislikes, swag preferences, T-shirt size, etc. I'm sure Terry has your info stored somewhere, but I try not to bug him.

This, by the way, gets my vote (for the name of #13).

Here I am, just minding my own business, looking ahead to the pairings, getting ready for another virtual house viewing in CT, expecting a little package completely non-beer-related, when, BAM! (in Hank Azaria's voice).

Damnit, @JayORear , I'm pretty sure I already owe you a return fire box. Now I'm going to have to reconsider the magnitude of the retaliation. :stuck_out_tongue:

This here is a bunch of Trillium and New Trail goodness, and after a quick perusal, I'm excited. I've never seen those can shippers before, but they're brilliant - and somehow, by complete coincidence I'm sure, fit perfectly within a standard flat-rate USPS box.

Jay, you've re-stocked me with new beer for the weekend. Not that I expect to wait for the weekend to crack at least one open.

Edit: the New Trail beers appear to be all collabs, as well! Themed ninja boxes? That's some next level shit.

New Trail is doing what they're calling "Expedition Packs," variety packs comprised completely of PA collabs. Those are all good, a couple are outstanding. All the Trillium is as good as you'd expect, and that Yakima Valley is next level, IMHO (also a collab). Cheers!

PS: Those WhalePods are being passed on from an @FBarber ninja hit; I just put in an order of my own. They're really great.

@FBarber and so they shall be passed on again (like the NBS BIF cushion). :grinning:

We aren't even in the official H&H thread, and yet we've got ninja boxes and LIFs flying left and right. I think this is, thus far, the most active this BIF has been this early.

On that theme, here is Mettle Alloy, a rotating IPA/IIPA from Trillium, and sent my way by @JayORear .

The aroma really leaps from the pour, which bodes very well. That initial impression is very strong ... but it surprisingly doesn't really live up to it up close. Don't get me wrong: it smells very nice, but it doesn't quite live up to the excitement I built up during the pour.

Both on the nose and the palate, this beer delivers, but is also a bit of a melange of fruity and herbal flavors. Tropical notes dominate, along with mostly bright herbs. The nose screams Mosaic, but the palate suggests NZ/AUS hops. I'm ultimately not sure of the hop load - and I like that!

This beer is excellent, if not exceptional, across the board - except for the mouthfeel. For a >8% ABV beer, the mouthfeel is exactly what you've come to expect from Trillium. Smooth, creamy, somehow still lively, with no astringency and moderate bitterness.

I haven't had a ton of Trillium, but I've had enough to build up some expectations. This one kind of both delivers and yet doesn't. I expected more out of the flavor, but it's still damn good, and it completely delivers on the palate.

I do not; I've never actually had possession. We may need to put out some feelers to find the current location and make sure that person participates at some point.
