Looks good. Wonder how the pasta box would pair with box wine?

Love the picture of Teddy. But be careful that the "woke dopes" don't call you out because of the Dr. Seuss reference. :stuck_out_tongue:

More courtyard time with the pup, beer and book.

Guinness Extra Stout and Love by Roddy Doyle. I've been looking forward to this one, just two guys drinking Guinness in a Dublin pub catching up on their lives, while both are going through a mid life crisis.

The back of the book is great, Roddy Doyle doesn't care about praise, so there are no review blurbs. Just this witty conversation with the two protagonists.

Good day Advocates. Broke down and ordered a new weight bench today. Has many more features in the same size as the current one and is foldable, so when not in use it provides Mrs. Insomniac with another space to do yoga. Win win.

Starting off the beer part of the day with an Orval. Pretty hard to f##k up with that choice. Cheers. [IMG]

3 Floyds - Dreadnaught Imperial IPA -- The description says that this has a big kick of citrus up front, and that's not a lie. Has a bit of a weedy finish that I don't hate. Drinks REAL easy for 9%+.

And now my favorite 'Mats B-Side.

Pale yellow body; decent carbonation; medium amount of head, thick and frothy; nice patchy rings of foam inside the glass. Soft esters on the nose; watermelon, musk melon, and light honey. The taste mirrors the aroma in many ways; soft sweetness overall; floral with a light cracker flavor; mild hop bitterness. Generally light overall with the mouthfeel; mild residual sugars; very gentle sweetness overall.

I'm grateful to have the chance at sampling this pilsner. It exudes a fine and, at times, delicate floral and fruit-like quality. It weighs in at 5.0% ABV and is quite crushable.

...and the hot wings turned out superbly...
