Unfortunately yes. I’ve been a supporter of treehouse for quite awhile and recently posted on that forum about a bad experience with older cans.
I’ve been watching their online order page since then and STILL see some of the beers that I bought a month ago and that were close to 3 months old at that time. Are they new/fresh cans? Maybe. Maybe not. We don’t know without them adding canning dates and I’m not interested in spending that kind of money, without knowing upfront what I’m getting from a brewer who preaches freshness but appears to be selling older products.
Adding dates to a page is an awesome step in keeping customers both informed and returning. WAY TO GO FOX FARM. See you soon!!!

I'm in the high 90% level of agreement with everything you said. You can make it 100% if your 3 month old cans were heavily hopped NEIPA varieties. If they were lagers, that's a bit different as they just don't drop off like the hops. That said, I fully appreciate and share the expectation that buying beer at a brewery means purchases should be as fresh as possible. TH should be no exception, esp as they've stated people should (ideally) drink their beer within 90 days.

    enough on that...

more kudos to Fox Farm for adding dates. I just got back and it's always good to see Dave and crew. He mentioned this batch of Viridescence is very good and he sure wasn't lying. I love Nelson and this beer just ticks all the boxes for me. It's sooooo good. Also picked up some Burst, Allora and Gather. I can't wait for all this crap to end so we can visit taprooms with confidence again.

Especially when they are charging $5+ per can...actually no you can't even buy it by the can anymore...when they are making you buy "mix packs" (I understand I really do given the volume the move).

Fox Farm is the shit for doing this. No BS, just honest brewers who care about the quality of their "small batch" product. I have to say I had a few bad experiences with FF cans about a year and a half or two years ago, but they have won me over. Right now they are top 3 CT brewery for me.

Also, I got around to sampling some of their bottles tonight and I have to say I am loving FF's farmhouse ales right now. Probably going to piss the wife off this week when I drop a wad on Pebble, Rove, Husky, and Avalonia: Blueberry (let alone their IPAs and lagers). These are some amazing farmhouse beers only rivaled by OEC's, Counterweight's, and NebCo's farmhouses (Ok nebco's aren't really farmhouse I guess, but I am loving their Acrimony releases) at this point in time. I would also say Kent Falls but, while I have had some top shelf shit from them, their bottles are so inconsistent that I can't justify dropping 12+ a bottle anymore. Although, maybe I need to give them a second chance as it's been a while since I've been by their place.

    Daylily and a new Pale:

“We designed this new Pale Ale around two intriguing hops - Belma and Meridian. Both are relatively new (in general and to us) but seem to fit perfectly with our approach to hop-forward ales. The intersection between the two varieties lies in the realm of mixed berry qualities (strawberry, currant, concord grape). You’ll also find lemon zest, melon and just ripe peach on the complimentary side to round things out. 5.2%”

Patch is fantastic. Drinks like a flavorful IPA at only 5.2%.

I agree. I'm always hesitant to buy a pale ale as it could go either way, but I'm quite pleased with Patch.

Brewed in July 2020, we designed Echos with the intention of presenting core qualities from our high-gravity, spirit barrel-aged beers in a format that delights and surprises in its drinkability. Made with a carefully assembled blend of base and specialty malts from a range of our suppliers (spanning Germany, UK and US), wildflower honey from @stonewallapiary and hopped with some favorite German varietals. We fermented this one low and slow with our lager yeast and cold conditioned in stainless for 8-weeks before transferring a portion (~60%) to Buffalo Trace barrels. The stainless and oak-aged components were blended back together prior to packaging early this year.

    11% ABV

    Gather and Wile as well.
