If you gave me a truth serum, I’d tell you Dreadnaught is my favorite Three Floyds beer, especially when it’s fresh (bottled 2/19/21 - CHECK!). Lots of citrus and a significant malt component. World-class, IMHO.

Hell yes man!! Seriously though my brother is 2 years younger than me and could be on the cover of Mens Health. Six pack, huge chest and arms..Im not kidding. He kills me. I know just about all the Jerky Boys stuff. Hilarious especially since no one has land lines anymore!

Pinella Ale Works -- Piddle Pils (pilsner) - with a wag of the tail to @DoctorZombies for throwing me this bone...

Clear, golden yellow body; excellent carbonation; thick and creamy head, white and lasting; fine legs of lacing streak the glass. Soft cracker aroma teased with some herbal hop smell; warm bread. The taste reinforces the smell; more biscuit in the malt; delicate sweetness; light hop bitterness; clean; mild herbal hop flavoring. Medium-light body; faint warmth permeates the beer; crisp.

This is an awesome pilsner. I love the name. Well-balanced and amply complex for a pilsner. It's quite enjoyable.

Doc Zombies must have sent me an off-batch as my rating soars above the others (well, there's only two others)...:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I know exactly what youre talking about believe it or not. I have a bench that has the post for lat pulls and I fashioned a rope with two wooden spheres to do tricep pulls. Plus incline, decline and flat. Just havent used it in a long time.

Hiphopopotomus vs Rhymenoceros from Breaker Brewing, out of the great state of PA. Beer courtesy of @beerdedking; thanks brother! I will say that this is an interesting representation of Nelson. I can dig it! Need more sips. Peace...

[IMG] Tonight's Beer Tasting Lineup is Battle Beers:

    1) Cerveza Modelo (4.4%):
A Mexican Cerveza with flavors of pale malts, cracker, yeast, and some Mexican honey.
    versus
    2) Stella Artois (5.0%): A European Pale Lager with smooth and balanced notes of lemon, honey, and pale malts.

    3) Samuel Adam's Wicked Hazy (6.8%): A new hazy release from Sam Adams with deep and resinous flavors of sweet peach and flower.
    versus
    4) 3 Floyd's Foggy Geezer (6.8%): A hazy release from 3 Floyds in Indiana which has a great balance of orange citrus and tropical flavors

    5) Deschutes' Mudpuppy Porter (5.8%): A porter from Deschutes in California that has a brown malt and molasses flavor. Strong phenols, Less cocoa than other porters I've tasted.
    versus
    6) Bent Paddle's Black Ale (6.0%): A standard porter from Bent Paddle in Minnesota that has a balance of cocoa, espresso roast, and slightly smoked pork flavor.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Winners:

    1) Cerveza Modelo: Hard to call and winner here and 9/10 I will probably prefer the Stella over this beer. But tonight the Modelo tasted better so that's the beer I'm picking here.

    4) 3 Floyd's Foggy Geezer: This one has a nice balance of orange citrus and tropical fruit. Nicely balanced. Sort of reminds me of Hazy Little Thing from Sierra Nevada with slightly more tropical notes.
Wicked Hazy is growing on me too, but too much peach and flower.

    5) Bent Paddle Black: A fantastic and standard porter. A balance of cocoa, espresso roast, and smoked pork provide nice porter flavors.
Mudpuppy porter lacked the cocoa component and had too much phenols. Definitely prefer their Obsidian Stout which is the superior beer.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you prefer the Mexican Cerveza (Modelo) or the European Pale Lager (Stella)?
Have you tried the two hazy beers above and what did you think?
Have you tried Mudpuppy Porter and did you think it was to style?

In my prime (45 years ago) my best bench was 275. But this was way before steroids and/or good diets. Pizza and beer were the staples.

But I had a decent deadlift for my weight class. 480 at 160 pounds. Again no steroids. I miss those days.

Maplewood disappointed me with November 2020 canned dates for my old reliable Charlatan APA, but I found these guys in the “new and fancy” section with a much more recent canned date. Juice Pants is a nice beer, but I still prefer a more traditional WCIPA / AIPA. I recommend Juice Pants if you like the hazy style. I also find Son of Juice a good take on the style.
