NBS BIF #13: Peninsular Envy 2 (The Rocket-Ball Inception)

To your recipient: those Transient Stouts are the best I’ve ever had, when they say coconut or caramel, or chocolate nibs they mean it, glass licking good. That’s one thing missing from the distribution here, really great stouts that are anywhere close to this quality. Event Horizon is comparable to BC as is Sexual Chocolate, but they’re mainstream.

I’ve not yet, we see Prairie Stouts up here @ $10 a 12 oz bottle so I don’t experiment with them often. But I will look for it if you think it is worth a try.

Man, because of the tendency of pairing targets to people further than the state line, I will likely never be your target. But I really like the way you roll!

They do make amazing stouts. We no longer have distro here, however, we do still have a few of their Bomb beers at the store, They're from 2017, I think, and they still taste amazing.

Bourbon! Or lambic! I can't make these decisions.

I really like Bourbon Paradise a lot. It's probably my favorite Prairie stout that I've had, with Pirate Bomb coming in a close second. I had a bottle this week courtesy of @jdell15 that was bottled in 2019 and it was really good. Vanilla Noir left me surprisingly underwhelmed.

In regards to the wine barrel discussion going on, like @Roguer, I find that they work much better with sours and saisons than stouts. There's something about the tannic quality that they can impart just doesn't work with what I want from a stout. All that to say this, someone in this thread may receive a GABF medal winning wine barrel aged wild ale during this round.

 

Hint #1: We sometimes raise the Jolly Roger around these parts when our stickball team wins a game, but I will not be shipping to one(but he already knew that).

Hint #2: If you live in the state where my favorite band concluded their most recent proper tour, then you are not my target.

Hint #3: If you live in the state where this guitar phenom was born, then you are not my target.

 

Hint time: #1: I am, per usual, shipping south and east.
#2 - My targets state touches a large body of water.
#3 - I have been in my targets county, and I am trying to remember if I've been in her/his town.

Been away for a day and a half and I have three pages to read through! Still don't have a clue on my sender, but here's another clue for my target.
