Curious if any combination of these TG stouts would land a ‘21 Noche Reserve? I have a Term Oil s’mores, Kaiju Clash and will have a BA Stout Hawks once it’s released.

    Hey Team,
Looking to land one of the following
    ISO:
    WLW (#2 want)
    PV15 (#1)
    GTS/THH (last want)

Does any combo of the following get it done?

    FT:
    Blantons SFTB
    Weller FP sp
    Hancock’s
    MWND
    Parker Heritage 11
    Bower Hill BS sp
    EC 18 (2017’ivy bottle)
    McKenna 10
    Blood Oath 6

I would think that some combination of SFTB, WFP, PH11, EC18 would close any of those.

GTS/THH combo yes, but honestly don’t think it’ll close WLW or Pappy 15. It’s not that the values don’t match up, but the fact that you’re trying to find someone who wants quantity without a significant anchor. It’s not impossible, but it’s rare for sure.

Sadly, WLW & all Pappy 15/20/23 are trading/selling for stupid levels at this point...and it only seems to be getting worse

yeah thought that would be the case man. I just think EC18, PH11, SFTB, and WFP sp is just a ton to give away 4:1 for GTS or THH. Or am I wrong?

Trading up for big bourbon is a nasty game to play. Hell trading beer for big bourbon is nasty.

Depends how much you want GTS/THH but yeah that's a ton.

Whats it take to land a Xyauyu? Interested in regular and the fume (scotch aged).

Those 4 are too much for one GTS/THH unless you’re talking older vintages.

Also, have to consider what your goal is, drinking or collecting. If it’s drinking, remember SFTB is considered the unofficial 6th BTAC, and it’s outstanding. If you’re a barrel strength wheated guy, Weller FP is great, and may be outstanding if you have the right store pick. GTS is a great bourbon, no doubt, especially if you’re into big bold cherry flavors, and THH is basically the gold standard for younger rye, but you can find similarly excellent whiskies for a fraction of the cost.

Usually easy to find, cost is what keeps these on the shelf. I'd imagine $4$ or maybe a little less depending on the rarity of what you're offering. These are usually $50-$55 per bottle here in MA

    ^ This.

The only thing I'll add, is that availability seems to really vary, depending upon where you live. When I lived back East, Xyauyu was relatively easy to come. My local in Baltimore (Max's in Fells Point) even had a Baladin event one evening, where they poured the copper, silver, gold and scotch (as I recall - it's been a few years now). However, where I live now it's very hard to come by; I haven't seen it on the shelf here in years!

Even so, I would agree. I would think @Fordcoyote15 would be able to come pretty close to a $4$ trade for the beer.

Would an Elijah Craig 18 year single barrel pull a DB Assassin and KBBS 19 or 20?

EC 18 would be a little over halfway to a kbbs 19 or 20. Probably slightly under halfway to a db assassin.

Was going to say the same thing. I closed KBBS 20 for M10 Bourbon and Toasted Rye.

follow up question brother. How close do you think P11 + WFP Sp is to OFBB ?

Yeah, crazy man. On the same token, how close do you think WFP sp + P11 is to OFBB?

Wondering the value of lambics. Is bokke abrighost 2018 about 1.5 VR? Higher, lower. Druif 0.75 VR?

Thinking I'd rather have brown water than these

Wellers (any) is always tricky regardless of value when trading up because it is much more available than some of those higher end bottles. OFBB has gone up substantially over the past 5 yrs as well.
