Ha, had the third can yesterday. For whatever reason it really hit the spot during this session.

That Alt though...damn.

 

Damn that Salem Lager is indeed great and so damn drinkable. And I'll be damned if their beers don't always have the most gorgeous head of just about any brewery going (even in cans without the fancy tap thingy at the brewery).

Given the name, hopefully it's going to become part of the year round lineup.

 

Known fact that if you don't love every Notch beer, you're banned from buying more. That's why they love Untappd so much, separates the super fans from the posers.

 

Pitched lined will be curbside only but it sounds like people already on the subscription list will be getting some. Looks like I'll be riding the pine this time around.

@ChrisLohring will this become an annual release?

Yes. Chris tweeted about it last night..."Headed out to beer subscriptions today, and what we think is the only beer lagered in pitch coated beer barrels in North America. 1000 labor hours per bottle.”

In replies, he said they are shooting for Friday for availability at the brewery.

 

In the Twitter replies he responded that it will be packaged every 3 months.

 

Nice, I'm headed that way Saturday, might preorder for pick up and maybe snag a draft too if they have it.

The last Pitch-Lined Pils I had on draft there was one of the best beers I've ever had from them.

It was like the freshest Pilsner Urquell I've ever had.

 

Tremendous news, this is high up on my beer bucket list.

 

Same, I wanted to hold out on making a bigger home delivery order when this came out. Oh well.

If I wasn't expecting a stork to drop a baby on my doorstep at any moment you better believe this would be as good a reason as any for my first trip to Salem. Can't wait to enjoy some of their lagers straight from the tap

One bottle of the Pitch Lined Pils too! Haven't cracked it yet but it's nice that it's bottled....classy.

 

Can someone correct me if I’m wrong, but the Pitch Lined Pils is the same beer recipe as The Standard?
