Yes. They're among the absolute best in the whole country, no exaggeration.

Parking kinda sucks. There's street construction around there and they use the parking lot as their patio. Usually, though, you can find street parking within a block or two.
Easter Sunday? No idea. I would guess slow, but then again, if weather is good and people have had their shots, it could get busy.
Eh, best practice....not sure you can rush if you want draft. You can pre-order all of that stuff and just plop down and eat (you can't open cans there, though). So maybe pre-order food, to-go cans, merch, then sit down and order draft.
    Reservations: I don't think they do, unless you want a private P A R T Y!

Thanks. That will be my #1 stop while I am there. Would you suggest any other lager centric brewery's to hit while we are there?

Prost, Tivoli (I think they're still open?), Seedstock, Wild Provisions (Boulder), Wibby (Longmont), and Grimm Brothers (Loveland) are the main ones. There's also the Colorado Native lineup from Coors...seriously.
There are other places with good individual lagers, but those are the ones that specifically focus on 'em. Of those, Wild Provisions and Grimm are my faves.

I had a great lager at Cerebral once, maybe 15-18 months ago. Can't now remember what it was but I'm thinking along the lines of a Dortmunder Export maybe. Just checked their menu and there's nothing like that on but they have an interesting looking Rice Lager called Paper Lantern, looks to be Japanese-inspired. I only mention it because a lot of out-of-towners like to go to Cerebral for other things, Hazies, farmhouse stuff, etc., but they do a nice job on lagers when they do them.

My tops w/in Denver proper would be Bierstadt Lagerhaus and Seedstock.

Thanks for the great info...I assume you need to go to the Coors Brewery for the Colorado native lineup?

Negative; it's all over the state (but only this state) - packaged and draft - and like Domingo said, it's seriously good stuff

Crooke Stave makes some nice lagers (mainly the pils). I got a 6'er of the New Zealand pils yesterday, and it is tasty, although it is more hazy pale ale than lager.

The Post in Lafayette also makes some absolutely kick-ass lagers. Their pils is great, and they make great Mexican style lagers. I really love El Corn lager. It is a negra modelo style amber lager, and is really good.

@ZAP as others have mentioned, buying from Bierstadt directly is going to be your best option. They will have the most if you need to order 5-6 cases, and it also supports the brewery in the best possible way. You could also try the Helles and other lagers on draft before deciding what all to stock up on, but Slow Pour is my favorite.

They're going to have unfiltered corn lager (they're calling it a kellerbier) on tap this weekend. Cans are expected on the 30th. That one was a big hit last year. Cans of the collaboration Koelsch style-ale they made with Westbound & Down might still be around, too. I haven't tried it, but I trust both of them to make one that tastes legit. There aren't a whole lot of legit takes on that style, so it's worth hunting down.

Thanks...can't wait....Bierstadt sounds like the #1 place I will enjoy there. Figure I'll pound 6 or 7 IPA's at Odell then hit Bierstadt for some delicate lagers since they are within walking distance right?

    The Kolsch is phenomenal

It’s not on tap at Bierstadt but they’re serving cans of it. Had some last weekend at Bierstadt then hit WB&D on the way home for a 4 pack (wish I’d bought more).

Yup, they are. There are a metric shitload of places down there. Bierstadt, Black Shirt, Stem Ciders, Our Mutual Friend, Odell LoDo, Ratio, Epic, River North along with Finn's Manor and Goed Zuur as good beer bars. That's only counting the ones on that side of the tracks, too. There are a ton more on the other side and a bunch of places further south, too. If you add up all of the beer places within a mile of Bierstadt, it's up there with the most concentrated in the whole world. Seriously.

Thanks. That's going to be the problem. Too many great places to hit. Any suggestions for whittling those down. My wife has already uhhh communicated to me that we will definitely need to spend "some" of our time enjoying the area as in biking, hiking, etc so I won't be able to drink 24/7 which is what it looks like I could do pretty easy.

It's definitely personal opinion, but my favorite breweries down there are Bierstadt and Epic. Finn's Manor's taplist is dialed-in and straight-up fantastic, too. Those 3 are the stops I prioritize in that area. Goed Zuur's another fave, too. They specialize in charcuterie and wild/sour beers, which is pretty unusual. For just straight-up food, arguably the best BBQ in the whole state is a few blocks away at Owlbear BBQ.

Is Goed Zuur's focused entirely on sours? Appears that way from their Untapped beer list.

Yup, that's their thing. Sours, wilds, lambics, Flanders reds/browns, saisons, etc. They might have a beer or two that doesn't fit those categories, but not many. They randomly had Pliny the Younger last year for what it's worth. Charcuterie is their specialty, but their menu has grown to include more traditional meal options, too. It's a neat place that legitimately reminds me of Moeder Lambic and the beer cafes of Belgium.

Their food is awesome by the way. One of our favorite places to get a semi-fancy dinner in Denver. Highly recommended. The cave butter is one of the greatest things I've ever eaten. I'd say don't miss Our Mutual Friend too. One of my favorite breweries in CO, and they usually have a ton of variety, at least they did before COVID. Finn's is right down the street. One thing you could check out too is First Draft. It's a poor your own beer bar between Bierstadt and Our Mutual Friend, pretty much. They have tons of beers from Colorado--you'd probably be able to try Cerebral, Comrade, Weldwerks--and it's kind of a cool concept if you've never been to one. A little more of a college bar kinda vibe though. Though I'm not sure what their deal is since COVID. Their pretzels are delicious too. Also love Finn's!
