It's a 45 minute drive to Total Wine, the closest place to me that carries Orval. It goes for $6.49 there, about average price compared to other stores in the area who carry it. Lowest price that I've seen recently has been $5.99, the highest was $7.99.

Price at our local woodmans here is 4.69. This thread has me considering snagging one at such a deal and I’ve never had it before so maybe.

On sale here at the local New Seasons. 2 for $10. That's a price I can live with.

I just checked on line locally. Two stores have it, one for $5.99 and the other for $7.49.
Some of the posters here are getting excellent deals, IMO.

I will highly recommend giving it a shot. I can see how it really wouldn't be some peoples cup of tea, but in a world where changing up the hop bill as lauded as groundbreaking innovation and well worth $6+ a packaged pint Orval stands out as a genuinely unique brew.

My son will occasionally ask me, "Dad, is that the beer with the crazy foam?" Before I pour a beer, and he's referring to Orval

I might also open one of my Rayon Vert to see how that’s doing.

    Enjoy

Fwiw, it's been $5.99 in my area for as long as I can remember.

The beer itself may be different every time but at least the price has been consistent.:grin:

Was at Whole Foods earlier and they had one single bottle left so I snagged it!

Will be cracking tomorrow as soon as I get home! Was 5.99 for me too.

5.49 today, packaged in June. I got 4 since its as fresh as I've ever seen. I'll try to do one of those next to the on in the cellar that I believe is a 2018 bottle

No, no new thread - post your Orval here! And cross post on WBAYDN if you like - starts anytime you drink one today!
Need to make a stop after a car appointment to try and get some - striking out so far!

I was surprised to find it missing at a reliable grocery store. I'll try at least three places later today.

I'm still doing house work (laundry). but when I can really sit down and chill I'll be participating.
In the meantime, I'm priming my palate with some other sort of similar ales.
Just a wee bit, so as not to saturate my palate. I know from past experience that it happens to me.

This morning I found an Orval in the village where I did some grocery shopping. I thought I would miss out on this Orval day, but here you go  Price was 2,35, That is somewhat like $ 2,35 at the moment I guess.

The bowl was the best alternative for a glass I could find in my temporary home. Need two hands to drink, but pouring went alright. Have two Orval glasses at home. Bought those in the abbey shop years ago. There is no shop now anymore I believe.

Wonderful beer to me. Normally I buy a case of 24 each year in Belgium, and enjoy them over the year.

    Cheers!

Well I apparently drank the Orval I had in the cellar at some point so all I've got is the 9 month old bottle. Depending on how late I get out of work I'll check another shop and see if I can get a different batch to compare
